Dear Vendor(s):

Dear Vendor,

Please test your "new" products out before offering them on sale so customers don't end up with mold, spores and unknown alien species crawling all up in their purchases. :barf:

@danniegirl , I am right here with you. I quit my habit when I compared ingredients to ingredients and saw that I could get products just as wholesome and all natural from ethical companies without having to sell off both arms, a leg, and my first born :nono:. It's ridiculous what the natural hair market charges, and some of these vendors could lower their prices with their increased volume but they love for someone to pay $20 per bottle. And then you have the curly/natural hair lines that are very much established, cranking out products in factories- not at home, charging MORE for their junk because they know enough of us will pay those stupid prices.

I just went to curlmart and Ouidad is selling a serum at $42 for 2 oz!! There is nothing in those ingredients to justify that cost! Nothing!

The thing I find to be the most disturbing its only the internet naturals that will buy these products, that order online and that stalk these sites and allow this nonsense.

And some of Us claim to be elite and have all types of skills and will investigate someone to death and correct every ones spelling and grammar and still we are being ripped off. we need someone to grammar check these vendors.

I went to the circle of sisters this past weekend and there were plenty of naturals and plenty of natural hair care vendors and guess what SAMPLES were being giving out, Products were reasonably priced and packaging was on point.

The natural hair care community has really left the internet and its on the street folks are not spending 42 bucks for 2 ounces of anything Ask a natural outside the internet about some juice and berries.

the same thing with kinky curly the 11 dollar moisturizer sells out but not that tiny bottle of gel for 16. and even that's better priced then the mess you find here on the internet.

Dear Vendors,

First, I would like to say, Hi. Then I would like to add a few ideas that may streamline matters in the future. This is of course with full knowledge that you must have heard all of this before,

1. Please use preservative, real preservative.

2. Reasonable shipping time is 7-10 business days, at the upper limit.

3. Shipping should be less than 10 dollars.

4. After spending a certain amount shipping should be free.

5. 10% or less off is not a sale and on Black Friday it is laughable.

6. Product consistency is not only "nice" it is non negotiable, there is absolutely no point in paying for something when there is no way of knowing what you are paying for.

7. There should not be foreign materials in your product (such as hair, skin, nails etc...)

8. Customer service includes having a listed number or otherwise easy way to reach you, friendly reception of your clients and their issues, as well as a timely refund or replacement of damaged or missing items.

9. Please do not wait for payment to then purchase materials to then begin hand-mixing product when you have a sale underway.

10. Please do not attempt to make your shipping costs your profit margin, oh and 20 dollars or more on 4 oz or less - is ludicrous. I will not be the one. You must not need clients with long hair if you are selling so little product for that much money.

Finally, if I so much as hear anyone come forward with complaints that are relevant to what I have outlined above I will not so much as give your product a test run. Wasting money is not a past time of mine though spending money may very well be.

This is why I love you ladies and this forum. You guys are dead on it!

Oh, and please make sure when you give me a refund, it is not rejected by Paypal. :perplexed
Find formaldehyde free preservatives and quit being lazy using Germal Plus, DMDM Hydantoin, etc. Thanks
Amen about the Overstock $2.95 shipping!!! I didn't think about, but it's true! WOW! Some companies are getting away with murder.

Please do not continue to go on social media to promote sales when you haven't even fulfilled orders from a previous sale.

Imma need for some of y'all to name names! Who are you ordering from that you saw chipped nail polish and whatnot in your products or telling you that they don't need to sell stuff for a living? This is why I just can't with certain sectors of the hair industry. :look:

You heard about the fly in someone's hair product? :look: Holla

What's wrong with these preservatives?

ok here is my 2 cents let get out of this thread and get out in the internet world and lets boycott this black Friday and ever black Friday after until some of these vendors change there policies and there pricing.

these "small business are realty over pricing there products and all of there cliental is right here in the internet most of these vendors only exist because of us at the very least most of them should be offering free shipping and free samples.

They need our business way more then we need there product.

We should start by writing open letters and posing them across the internet hair platforms and getting out on youtube and on facebook twitter and intergram if they don't make drastic changes for THIS season we boycott them

I set around waiting until what march? for qhemet to have there black Friday sale and all they did was put out 2 products at a time in a store in ATL and charged a arm in a leg for shipping.

they had people refreshing that site like crazy and calling trying to spend 22 on 8oz and 12 dollar shipping it was a hot mess I left it alone but I wondered why did WE keep them in business after that.

and I ordered from that hydroqhenc dog lady with the hair all over product I refused to use.

I was also victim of that god awful flash sale that made up for the madness with a 15% off coupon.

I stop shopping with the small vendors because of all of this but I would like to experience some of these products and I would like to support my own but they are really taking OUR money and running with it we don't need to do things when they get out of control like moptop or sprakflame we need to stop this mess before it happens and demand fair pricing and reasonable shipping and quality products

Very well said. You have some valid points. It's us who keep these folks in business. Qhemet is on my BF list. I want to give their products a try and finally see what is all the hoop n holla is about. I didn't know their CS was that horrible. If it's that bad, why would folks keep buying and waiting for their products? What makes their products so darn special/good? Guess I might not get to see what's all the hooping and the hollering is about these products cause "I AIN"T GOT TIME FOR ALLADAT!"

Seriously there have got to be some products that works just as good as Qhemet if not better...

NaturallyATLPCH I think this is slowed over time if you refrigerate your products (I normally refrigerate my products that have only one preservative or use natural preservatives). I didn't know what germall plus was until last night and I was like eh...why not use Optiphen and add some other stuff like citric acid. And I was confused because a member had said one of the products with germall plus was spoiled so what is the advantage to it?

Use waterproof labels. Don't run your labels off an inkjet printer and slap them on jars with glue.

I can't see any mentions on my IPhone. PM me if it is a must see. Allons y

I am experiencing this with some recent products. The labels are all gone after one use. I just hope the ink is not in my hair.

gorgeoushair There are.

When I stopped ordering from Qhemet it let me see there were other products and product lines to try out there. I like myhoneychild.com, mariedeanonline.com and others that have products that work better for my 4CZ hair than Qhemet. And there is never any CS or long, delayed shipping issues.

First off, I think the majority of the popular "natural" hair products are over-priced so I always buy during a sale of 20% or more with flat-rate or free shipping. And I never wait 'til I'm low on a product to order it.

Qhemet - Burdock Root Buttercream, Amla and Olive Heavy Cream, Egyptian Wheatgrass Cleansing Tea (stripped my hair), Cocoa Tree Detangling Ghee, Moringa Tree Detangling Ghee, Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm, Honeybush Tea Soft Gel, Tea Tree & Grapeseed Therapeutic Pomade, and Amla Oil Nourishing Pomade

All of the above were somewhat okay but not fantastic. They did not moisturize, detangle or style my hair like I wanted it.

Moisturizing and detangling:

myhoneychild.com - Type 4 hair creme and Honey hair creme. Love, love, love her scalp cleansers.

mariedeanonline.com - Herbal hair buttercream, Apricot Mango leave-in conditioner, Twist and Loc Moisturizing Cream, Argan Oil Hair cream, etc.

Styling:

Uncle Funky's daughter curly magic gel (purchased during 35% off sale)

Ouidad Climate Control Heat & Humidity Gel (purchased during 25% off sale)
Entwine Jelle (Purchased during 31% off sale)

There are so many vendors out there who have decent sales, no shipping issues and sky-high rises in prices.

I have no loyalty to one product line and will patronize a good sale even if I'm not low on their product.

And there are so many new product lines I've never tried. So if any of the above start acting up, I'll just move on as I have in the past from Hairveda, KBB, Afroveda, Hydroquench and others.

Girl you betta preach! All the naturals I know in real life get their products from the salons they frequent or the beauty supply store and they all have amazing long hair. I even stopped ordering online and do the same. Now I purchase from salons, beauty supply, Whole Foods, Sally's, Target etc. I do not have time to be ordering and waiting, stalking sales etc. when I can get something up the street.

I can remember ordering from one vendor and every other word on the label was spelled incorrectly. :nono: Next!
