Yes, You broke that down very well Bre Bre. I noticed this before and just didnt say anything. On one particular day every post with Bubbnbrnsuga's name was given 1 star. Now from reading her post, there were no reasons for the 1 star on any of them. That was just hateful.
I dont pay attention to the stars to see if the thread is worth reading or not. There is just no need for for the mean-spirted ways of some people.

I have always noticed the star-rating, how could you miss it.:confused:

I get more 1 stars than some others,:lol: ,and I don't mind.

Could it be that all, who are offended, are just taking this whole thing too personally?:lol: :confused:
 
I never rate or pay any attention to the ones that are rated but it's not nice and it is truly tacky to rate someones progress!

If you rate this way I think that's good, it's just not good to rate someones progress below that, I just worded it wrong the first time didn't mean all the ratings :).
 
I think I'll be keeping my progress to myself. I know my hair isn't "all that" so why would I want to post pics or progress to have the time and effort awarded with one star and 3 repsonses?

I applaud everyone else's progress, though. I'm going to love ya'll and the board regardless but I think I've learned my lesson.:ohwell:

ETA: I will update my siggy as appropriate but I won't start any threads proclaiming progress.
 
I always love progress threads and I hope this cattiness doesn't discourage anyone from posting their progress.

This is my inspiration....I have never seen a progress thread that I didn't love. We all know that the information on this thread helps to improve the health and length of your hair, please don't stop posting progress threads I need them!!!

There's a lot of pettiness on this board. I just gave one star that that stupid thread where someone is bashing people with thin, see-through ends who "think they're cute" WTF? That is so unnecessary.

It's just a thread to rag on people ...which would be fine if this were 7th grade, but it's not. :perplexed

And I see people apparently voted that thread 4 or 5 stars (undeservingly) making a stuipid *** thread like that come in at 3 stars.

Now I agree, some one stars are mind-boggling. But then there are times when one star is deserved.

Wnat is harsh??? That was the title of her thread!!! That thread title is harsh, not my giving it one star.

This board has really deteriorated if something like that thread can be defended.

ITA, Jazzy. I saw threads with stars next to them and had the crazy idea that the number of posts was the reason they had stars next to them.

I guess the moderator (on another board) in me would have never taken it to mean a derogatory or celebratory action.

But like most of you posted, I am so excited to learn how to have a healthy head of hair, for not only me but my daughter and love gleaning from those who are successful at attaining their goals.

May God bless everyone with the right intentions and please don't allow anyone to dissuade you from sharing your progress/thoughts.

I never pay attention to the rating. Didn't even know what you guys were talking about. I've never based my decision to view a post based on the rating or star or whatever. As soon as people stop tripping over the rating, it will lose its power.

I wanted to re-iterate that I'm speaking about progress threads in particular. I didn't read the thread you speak of since I had a feeling where it was going already. I just hate the snarky attitudes when it comes to someone sharing there dern progress. Nothing more, nothing less.

Me, too. I just think it's wrong to give progress threads one star. If that thread deserves one star, than I understand.
