2012 Whats happening Relationship Folks

Had a another great weekend. Making up for cabin fever but he reminded me I still need to be careful and take it slow. Yeah yeah yeah......... My body my pain............

I'm disappointed in SO. He flew to TO because his friends mother died. My mom had a major stroke and he was no where to be found. :perplexed: Granted he has more expendable income, it just sucks that he was there when his friend needed him and he didn't make that happen when I needed him. I'm not going to address him about it, because how do you even address something like that?? C'est la vie. I think my feelings are hurt.

What was his reason for not being there for you and your mom?

Ladies, just a quick note: please help us to keep the thread on topic. Anything pertaining to online dating should be posted in the Online Support thread. Thank-you!!!

with all due respect, is it really a big deal if people post about their online dating experiences? a lot of relationships start online in this day and age and a lot of times online dating and relationships go hand in hand. sorry, i'm just not sure what the big deal is.

You actually should go ahead and address it. Otherwise, it will come up later, I guarantee you. I think it's called toxic nostalgia (yes, self-help book terminology, LOL). But you'll be internally holding it against him and it will just bubble up one day and you won't even realize it or may not have meant to say it. Trust me on this one. If your feelings are hurt, you need to discuss it with him and get his perspective. I have a small theory, but let him tell you what he feels. This will also be a good "test" (I hate to say that) to how he regards your feelings when you express them.

:bighug: I know it's hard to deal with a parent who's had a major stroke. I take it she has some deficits? It'll take time to adjust, but it'll get better.

Sometimes you just want someone to snuggle with. Not sex. Just curled up on the couch with a movie and popcorn, ya know? Sigh.

Sent from my iPhone. Excuse the typos!

It would not be a problem to post about the initial dating experience in the online dating support thread. Beyond that, I suppose it would be ok to continue here. The OP has requested that online dating experiences be kept seperate from her thread, as there is already a thread created specifically for Online Dating. We would like to respect her wishes, thus the reason for my previous post. HTH.

I feel bad for the mods having to police all this silly stuff.

Yeah, a lot of excessive policing going on lately. But it seems like people are actually requesting to be policed...go figure :perplexed

We have a specific thread for ONLINE DATING experiences and that is what was posted here. Once online dating turns into a one on one relationship like Kismetts and others has then post away. I don't know what is so confusing or upsetting about the request. I and many others don't want this thread to turn into total randomness. Smooches!!!!!!!!

i'd planned on seeing him tomorrow. we were going to the fair but i think i will break it to him instead. i've lost all interest in him. it sucks but he has to go.

It's really nice being with a Haitian man. There are some expressions that he says that just make my day. I do find it funny having to break down 80's culture to him. Maybe I'll make him watch Dif'Rent Strokes, LOL!

Sunday we went to see Sanaa Lathan in a funny play and I cooked a really nice dinner. I had no idea there was a endearing card attached to the bottle of Rideau wine. Now I feel kinda bad for something I mentioned because he addressed it in the card.

firecracker,
I want to see the man that can handle you and your mouth!
He gots a lotta cards to write LOLOLOL
I'm joshing with ya....
@fine 4's chile your not joshing so no need to front. :lachen: The younger Fire was a real piece of work. I don't have a mouth but I do speak the truth along with dealing with what is real and true. I respect men and know my place. I'm old school. I don't allow men to treat me any kinda way and I actually treat men very well unless they show their royal arse.

Some folks can't handle the truth!!!!!!!! in my best Jack Nicholson voice.

OT: firecracker, you were there too?? I went to the same play. Sorry, it's random.

Its seems like once I hit the two weeks I miss him like crazy. He told me his mama ask how lil sugar is doing lol. I guess that is my pet name. His gma called me that

chocolat79 omg what a coinky dink. Which show did you go to? I went to the matinee but I really wanted to go to the 7pm wine tasting show. How did you like the second half compared to the first?

firecracker, I went to the 7pm show, but I didn't get there in time for the wine-tasting...boo!! LOL, I loved the first part because I loved the entertainment factor and it was hilarious, BUT the second part really made you think. I think the first part could have still gotten the point across though. How'd you like it?

chocolat79 Dang I was hoping you could tell me about the wines. LOL I really enjoyed the second part for the same reason you did. Nothing much has changed in Hollywood fo real fo real.

I enjoyed the mixed media and the theatrical interview. Sanaa's flamboyant outfit and personality reminded me of Wendy Rachel in the second half. The militant soul sister/fake Brazilian roomie had me laughing so hard. It was really entertaining. I love The Geffen. Are you going to check out Fraternity at the Nate Holden?
