luving me include a few scriptures affirmations as well, hearing the word builds up our faith and reminds us of the hope that is promised to us...

Psalms 55:22

Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.

@Iwanthealthyhair67 GIRL, I was about to come in here and post some complaints about the week I've been having.

I read your post and I had to stop and ask God to forgive me. And give him the issues....

So thank you!

This same calling is creeping up again. Ran away the first time, tested it and was too fearful the second time, and now at the third I say, "Here I am Lord; Your servant is listening."

Some times when we hear a voice inside... We have to make sure it's one of honesty and not negativity it's one of truth and not just we want to tell ourselves at that moment. Then once we realize that we can do what we know is right.

I was just thinking and it's such a little obvious thing but so many times we just run with it and then hit a ditch and ask God why. From today on I'll do this and avoid all the ditches I can.

Maybe I will feel better if I get back on a regular sleep and work schedule but right now anxiety about the future, insomnia and fatigue are all getting the best of me. I keep saying "God has not given me the spirit of fear, but of power, love and of a sound mind." I want to start my fast again tomorrow...this year I will seek peace and healing like never before. I know that life will be better if I can learn to trust Him and stop looking at my circumstances. Easier said than done right now. I need to just look toward him...and not look toward my circumstances, He is much greater than my problems.

When I was in my car driving today I heard a sermon on the radio on the prodigal son and thought back to when I was out in the world doing my own thing...what a fool I was! Thank God accepting me back with open arms.

It amazes me how people come back to this forum and change their screen name, but their words and attitudes are still the same...after all this time:nono:...doesn't make any sense to me at all.

I see you.................and I'm praying against the nonsense, you better believe it...not for 2012, not here.:naughty:

There's no use in learning more if you do not obey what you already know. Growth in understanding has to be accompanied by growth in obedience. There should be a 1:1 correspondence between the two. To be more knowledgeable than mature is a precarious position to be in.

I'm of the persuasion that God's Word is not just mere pages on a book...they are Life, breathed into man to give him Life...there is connection. To the spiritually dead, they're just words... ink to paper... no connection.

This might sound out there, but I'm convinced that the internet is a spiritual portal. Be mindful of what spirits you are giving access to as you surf.

nicola.kirwan ITA ...

this is worth a thought and some study: the Prince of the power of the air (we all know who that is) but air is also air waves, sound, radio, music computer et.c,

I actually started a study need to start again....

I don't know, my physical man really feel for her but for some reason I get the nudge not to....

You know this is something that's been on my mind it and my enjoyment of certain reality shows. I am becoming aware that I am not guarding my heart....thanks for posting.

Does anyone know what this is?

This is going to be my next sermon.

For real.:yep:

Goodnight!

One of the greatest things is to walk in love. You cannot keep a clear connection to hear from God if you are wrapped up in unforgiveness, anger, and bitterness. We still hold people responsible, but it is not a platform to be ridiculous.

Bitterness causes feuds and prolonged arguments and God is never in those actions. Christians can yield to the devil and convince themselves they are working for God. Plus, it prevents you from experiencing everything God wants you to have and reaching people He wants you to reach. People can tell if we are genuiune, pretentious, or phony. Even our enemies know this--if they are truthful.

Above all, we will be concerned about God cares about if He is truly number one in our lives. God wants us to love all people. So, we would overlook someone saying something stupid or foolish . You would honor His leaders without being antogonistic. You would pray for them because pray changes things. A righteous person praying changes things and they get tremendous results. Never met one who wasn't a walking miracle or stagnant in life.

:look: :look:

You promised not to tell on me.

Seriously, this is a junk drawer. A quick stach of items that we are in a hurry to place out of sight when company comes. It can range from anything and nothing there has anything to do with the other items in the shared hiding space. There's confusion among the occupants of this space, let alone, disorder.

It's time to get the junk out, toss it or clean it and put it away where it truly belongs. Drawers are meant for organizing not clutter.

You have to till the soil, plant, water, fertilize...and God brings the increase. He makes the work fruitful, but we must work. But He *will* bring the increase where the work is done unto Him.

It's interesting that you posted this.

For some time I've watched the traffic and the rush of hundreds of people each morning and night rushing to and from work.

And each time, I'd look at the lines of cars, trucks, buses, trains, and I think of the scripture... Genesie 3:19

By the sweat of your brow you will eat your food until you return to the ground, since from it you were taken; for dust you are and to dust you will return."

God spoke this to Adam and it's so interesting to 'see' this during rush hour.

The longer I meditate on God's promises about my situation the more deeper I can sense His presence. I can see a way being made out of no way.

Love the Psalms...music, food, comfort to the soul. Enjoying this Word today....

Psalms 34
1 I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. 2 My soul shall make her boast in the LORD: the humble shall hear thereof, and be glad . 3 O magnify the LORD with me, and let us exalt his name together

Oh wow... Laela, this flows with your 'Praise' thread. Exalting God's Name 'TOGETHER' :amen:

In Isaiah 58, the Lord talks about how the Israelites they loved to fast, to pray, and to inquire of God, but they couldn't figure out why He wasn't moving on their behalf. And verse 6 and onward speaks of Him seeking a fast of the heart and righteousness of heart and mainly acts of service and compassion toward those around us.

That chapter is worth reading over and over. When Christians speak of seeking God, we tend to speak of going to church, praying more, attending a Bible study. All well and good. But in that chapter, the Lord speaks about feeding the hungry, advocating for the oppressed and helping the homeless. Those are things which reveal how much love is really in our hearts rather than just what we want God to do on our behalf.

I've been in love with this scripture since i found it a few months ago. You're right it should be read and re-read. I love that God shares in this text that true fasting that pleases God requires us to lose something and give it to the less fortunate. If not, we would just eat twice as much the next day and no one would benefit from our fast! God promises to show himself to us, heal, be your rear guard, all this great stuff. I was overwhelmed because I see a lot of poor in my city, and you would go broke if you bought a meal every time you saw a homeless person...but i thought it would be great to just give up the lunch you would have eaten and give it to someone else. Thus, a fast for you and you get to help the poor.
