2011 Cowash Challenge--January 1st to April 30th

Count me in!

:welcome2: to the challenge!

I cowashed this morning with Skala Jaborandi. It expires next month so I'm going to try to use it up. It left my hair feeling nice and soft but I didn't really care for the heavily perfumed smell.

I just CW with Aussie moist, then used Aphoghee 2 min reconstructor and DC with Lustrasilk Shea Butter and Mango Cholesterol. I then used my usual Kimmaytube leave in and added some EVCO. My hair is so soft and curly, surprisingly....

I will be co-washing every other day. I go to the gym alot so I have no choice but to co-wash. Hoping for some great results from doing this!

Ok great! I will be co-washing tomorrow as soon as I get home from the gym...So excited cant wait. I will be using VO5 Moisture Milks. Then do aphogee 2 min and then DC with Shea Butter and Mango Cholesterol with some EVOO and Peppermint Oil. I will let you know how it turns out tomorrow.

Well, I just trimmed all my relaxed bits off and I'm completely natural!! So I'll be able to cowash much more often!! But after having my stylist trim those ends off my I had my hair pressed to see length and she blew my hair out to get a better idea of where to cut so unfortunately I won't be cowashing for the next two weeks to keep up with my pressed hair (I didn't risk the heat damage just to revert my hair to curly a day later!)

Just finished co-washing with V05 Moisture Milks mixed with Tea Tree oil and OO. Left on a lot longer than I usually do, rinsed and then did a DC with heat and Jane Carter conditioner. Hair is sooooo soft, shiny and moisturized.

cowashed with suave shea and almond conditioner and loving it...

thinking about hitting up CVS with their sell on HE and stacking up on some of their conditioners...

Does anyone cowash with any Pantene products? I never hear much about Pantene on the forum but I remember always having great slip with Pantene.

Anyone else feel that cowashing increased their length through retention?

For me, the cheapies are only used in place of a shampoo to cleanse. Yes, they are too light for me to just use as a conditioner so that's why I follow up with my good conditioner afterwards.

I thought I was the only one that used or attempted to use 2 cowash conditioners during a cowashing session lol

Did I come in here before and say I loooove Tresemme Naturals Replenishing Moisture? Well if not, I am definitely saying it now! I have used it for the last 3 nights and it is a keeper! I love the way it makes my hair feel! The Suave with shea butter and almond is good also but I think I like the Tresemme a little better.

i wanna join!

What conditioners are you planning to use? suave naturals coconut, yes to cucumbers, trader joe's nourish spa

I CW today with Aussie Moist... I love the smell of this stuff.

However, I really need to find some WNG styles for short CL hair for 4B.. ugh.... other than that, my hair is sooooo soft!

I co wash was every other day so 3 -4 times a wk depends on how the week falls.
I use HE Reconditioning Conditioner for my co-washes.
I wash my hair once a wk.

Can I still join? Ok here are my stats:

How many times per week will you cowash? Once on Fridays

What conditioners are you planning to use? VO5 Free Me Freesia, Kiwi Lime, or Strawberries and Cream

What do you hope to achieve by cowashing? I want to have clean hair, for my pre-poo on wash day (Mondays)

How often (if ever) will you use shampoo?
I will use shampoo once a month for deep clariying

Once the weather turns warm, cowashing will be more often. Thanks for letting me join so late. :yep:

I am thinking of switching conditioners. I have been using the Suave Tropical Coconut condish for my daily cowashes. It works so well the first few months but now I don't feel it has the same slip. I think I am going to use Pantene for a while it gave me great slip and I remember my hair did well when I used it in college. I know it has cones and could dry my hair out but I will just try it for a while.

:woohoo:More challengers! Welcome ladies, it's never too late to join.

Hi ladies...

Just checking in... I cowashed with Tresemme Natural Moisturizing Conditioner... then did an oil rinsed and conditioned with L'Oreal Hydra Gloss conditioner for dry/damaged hair.

I love this conditioner--- it may be the royal jelly, IDK-- but it definitely defines my curls and moisturizes like nothing else.

My scalp is sore and super itchy--I don't know why so I cowashed last night with Suave Tropical Coconut. The itchies got worse afterward but seems to have abated...for now...

^I have been using the Suave Tropical Coconut condish as well. I don't have the itches but I feel like I need to switch. It doesn't give me the same slip as before.

@ Simplyblessed I really like both of them and the Tresemme is definitely more creamy than most I've tried but its not that thick but I encourage you to try it, I think you'll like it.
