TYRA AND CHRIS ROCK

I like how Tyra said " I used to wear Lacefronts"....yeah up until the day they filmed that and then back to them again....Her natural hair looked good, however, I thought she had a relaxer...maybe not. It was in a cute curly/wavy ponytail on this episode.

Talking about GOOD HAIR Movie, can you believe the relaxer and the soda can..
I wonder why ppl are surprised by that? We've all had the experience of literally experiencing our flesh melt on spots on our head from the chemical burn, we shouldnt be surprised that it can destroy a soda can in seconds.

Sometimes I seriously stand in awe that we think its just "the thing to do" and then the NOTION that you would put that on a baby's head:thud:.....blows me away:nono:. To be clear, I'm not hating on anyone, I'm just speaking about my thoughts and feelings period. And there are ladies on here that try to avoid their scalps so thats pretty good.....

I *love* the way Trya wears her hair according to the situation, when Chris Rock is on suddenly she's wearing her own hair and it has just a tad of texture, tomorrow she'll be right back to that blonde lacefront to her butt....she's very.....unique:rolleyes:

She said she relaxes her hair but leaves some texture.

I love the comment that relaxer is like crack you have to keep using it, or you start smacking you' r head if you don 't get more relaxer.....

I like how the white girl in the crowd corrected Tyra's confusion about the difference between "real" and "natural" hair. Most people thought Tyra had no relaxer in her hair, and in an odd way, I kinda got a satisfaction from that audience member's correction.

This is an aside, but I'm pretty sure since the beginning of this season when she 'debuted' her real hair that's all she's been wearing.

I'm not a weaveologist or anything, but I'm pretty sure the lace front is dead and gone. (for now at least, and consistently.) You'll have to use all your other reasons to hate her.

Actually I have been watching this season of her show on Youtube and she has worn it like that on other episodes i think i mentioned it in 2 threads

Does anyone believe tyra when she said she allows her hair to keep some of its texture, according to her she (i'm bad with quotes) "doesn't put too much relaxer on [her hair]", and that she keeps some of her natural texture..
Her hair looks bone straight to me.. ever since the first episode when she came out with it dripping wet.

I don 't think she she knows what her hair is, I give her credit for trying to find her roots and telling young people they don 't have to have long straight hair. I also give Chris Rock credit for Educating us on what and who is behind the hair care products, it may be easier
to put the relaxer on the young kids.

20 something, I said the same thing in the thread about Raven Symone being on Tyra in the Entertainment/Celebrities Forum yesterday!

Girl you know black folks'll put anything on their heads to get straight hair, LOL.

I'm waiting for some joker to market liquified pig droppings as the "greatest hair relaxer ever: silky straight-swang n'shine, non-chemical/burning, all natural" . Wouldn't at all be surprised if women went out in droves to get this applied.

I remember seeing Tyra wearing her "real" hair sans lace front/extensions when that movie Higher Learning came out with Omar Epps and Ice Cube.

I think it was her first theatrical debut, and you could tell because her acting was horrible.
