What happens after your hair goal is met?

Well I really didn't have a goal in the beginning only to maintain healthy hair. I've always had APL hair and now I'm at BSL and I'm pretty pleased with that. Before I would cut my hair when the mood hit.

Now, I will continue doing what I do - and see where that leads me. But no, I'm not going to stop loving my hair.

When I reach my goal of mid-back I'm going to keep it there for maybe six months and then go back to APL or higher. I just want to be able to say that I was at MBL once.

Keep growing?? I figure, why stop? If I get sick of it, if I don't like it, I can cut it, cuz I KNOW it'll grow back - I'll have proven it.

I might get layers in it - that would be interesting in natural hair....

Pretty much.

My original goal was waist length stretched. Once I reached that, I decided to make a new goal...hip length. Once I reach that, I'll probably set a new goal. The only thing I'm considering is trimming a bit when I get to hip length. But I've said that I was going to trim at waist and I didn't.

My hair motto has always been keep it simple, but these days I've been bringing that idea to new heights. I'm trying to seriously reduce my use of commercially prepared products (namely massive amounts of commercial conditioners). I want to get it down to a bare minimum and use only herbal preparations, natural butters and oils. Wish me luck. :look:

:yep: That's my goal, as of late - I'm trying some ayuvedic stuff to use as a cleanser, instead of cowashing, and I'm HOPING that the AfroDetangler I brought can serve as a detangler.
My last 'search' is for something I can use as a moisturizer....

Yeah, my biggest problem was moisturizing too. We just have to try different things and keep tweaking. We'll get there. I was going through way too much conditioner and somehow this past week or two, I'm down to just using a bit on the bottom half of my length. I might attempt to go conditioner-less next wash. But I don't know if I'll ever be completely off the stuff.

Im going to keep up my Regi so my hair doesn't break back to my starting length. :lachen:. Honestly, who knows if I will ever achieve WL but hey, by the time I do, which will be a trillion years from now my regi will be a super habit so I will be used to it and will be less likely to stray.

lol.. at let the choir say amen:lachen:

but yes ITA. I actually enjoy the process of taking care of my hair. I love wash days.:yep: I just dont know how I'm gonna rollerset all that hair so i will probably flat iron (on a low heat setting) more often. And no way am I going to go back to my old ways just because i 've reached my goals. :nono:

I will however trim more often as i dont not want to go beyond waistlength and I want to keep fresh looking ends. I will not continue to use MN..just coconut oil. Can't wait!

I don't know, I've got a way to go so I haven't really thought about it. Maintain the healthy and beauty of my hair. I may eventually go back nautural. Either way I plan to be swinging long thick hair at a club in a mini skirt with toned up legs and a sparkly shirt.
Girl, we must be related:poke: lmao.

I know a lot of people who says "they used to have long hair" and then they don't know what happened and it "broke" off.

Nothing is going to change for me. I will maintain with my current regimen which is fairly simple and I plan to keep my ends trimmed at my goal length.

Same here. That and get a nice long layered cut. :yep:

My ultimate goal is to get it to the point where it touches my butt but I can't sit on it. When I reach that point, I will just maitain it there.

I'll finally stop using growth aids :lachen:
I'd also wear my hair in different styles other than protective. I may do a BC after a couple of years because at least I'll know that it can get to that length - don't want to be using relaxers forever...

I am not sure how I will act when it does. I may keep it in a bun on regular days when I am not showing off and let it all out when something important comes up. Is it bad that in my head that I think that I may never ever reach my goal?
