Keracare Humecto mixed with SAA and Castor oil=strong, soft and tangle free hair=HIT!

hmmmm:scratchch That sounds like a good combo. When the humecto works, it really works.

MISS: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo. I don't see what was so hydrating and detangling about it. That stuff left my hair a dry, tangled mess. I must have gotten a bad batch or it might have expired. Either way, I don't know what happened, but my hair was dry to the touch and it took forever to detangle and I lost lots of hair while doing it.

MISS: Una Bomba's Universal Conditioner & Rinse. I hate this stuff. Out of all the Dominican conditioners/rinses I have tried, that stuff is the worst (and I love me some dominican conditioners)!! It wasn't bad enough that the Keracare poo made my hair dry and tangled, this stuff took the cake. I used it thinking it would "revive" my hair with some protein and a added bit of moisture. Hell, the dryness got worse and so did the tangling. I ended up slathering on the Fermodyl and my leave in and let my hair be til my next wash day (today).

That shampoo did the same to me in the past when I wasn't relaxed with Affirm. I almost feel like they formulate the products to work the best on hair relaxed with affirm. I remember having the exact same sentiment.

Huge miss: Duo Tex protein conditioner

I used it twice and both times it made my hair very tangled I lost a of hair during this wash. i'm never using this mess again. Protien is supposed to stop breakage not cause it I'm gonna go back to using a creme protein like CPR or hair mayo.

Another miss: ACV rinses, used this twice both times left my hair very tangled. Now I know if it leaves my hair tangled that means I need to dilute it some more. But I thought I diluted it A LOT this time. I dont know guess it just isn't for my hair.

I have to say with using these two products I did not have a good wash day at all

I just realized that the ACV gives my hair a nice shine. I rarely find anything that gives me good shine but the ACV gives me so many tangles. I am thinking maybe the shine isn't worth it. the more I dilute it the less tangles I get and i still get some but I get less shine as well.

What's a girl to do?

HIT:

• Frederic Fekkai Glossing Cream - I realized that I have fine/medium strands so I needed a moisturizer that wouldn't weigh my stuff down. I remember Pixel Lady using this product so I picked it up from Sephora. Like it ALOT so far. I think the farther I am post (I'm 9 weeks now), I need a lil something more for my newgrowth. But for my ends/length, this is nice.
• Aveda DR Shampoo - Finally bought the big bottle. I'm so cheap! This is a great shampoo.
• Organix Vanilla Silk Conditioner - Used it over night because my hair had been feeling dry. The slip is UNBELIEVABLE. Wow. And of course it smells awesome (if you like the smell of Vanilla).
• Elasta QP Mango Butter - I've been using it on my edges @ night since I've been wearing my hair clipped up since Sunday. Really helps lay them down.

ON THE FENCE:

• Mizani Moisturfuse - Gonna try this again with some heat and maybe some oil to see if I like it more. Right now it's just okay.
• Biolage (Matrix) Heat Protectant Spray in the orange bottle (can't remember the exact name, sorry) - My hair didn't revert, no smoke from the flat irons, etc. But it kinda coated my hair I think.. I still had alot of movement, but something about it annoyed me. Gonna try it again and see.
• Elasta QP Intense Conditioner - Smells great, but wasn't memorable. Gonna doctor it and see what I get.

MISSES: None that I can think of.

Miss Smooth N' Shine Polishing Silk N' Curl Styling Curl Activating Creme Gel...somebody outta shoot the makers of this mess! It just sat on my hair like a thud....a white gooey mess, minimal curl definition at best I tried it 3 different times and got the same results each time. I threw that crap in the trash!!!
