Re: It\'s that time again! November Hits & Misses

How long did you use the surge before seeing the results of your edges growing back? Do you just apply it to your scalp?

Re: It\'s that time again! November Hits & Misses

Hi Natori,

Approximately 2 weeks. I noticed that it started to thicken and by week three I started to see a little length meaning that I could gather the hairs and yank on it.

I applied it to the scalp only twice a day.

Re: It\'s that time again! November Hits & Misses

Okay . . .

In what may be the quickest aboutface in LHCF history, I'm going to have to take back my "hits" for the month of November.

I had previously reported on the lovely smell and feel of the Pantene R&N Wrap & Set Lotion and Oil Cream Moisturizer. I'm not sure about the Wrap & Set Lotion, but I can report today that the Oil Cream Moisturizer is not going to cut it. So sad, but I don't find it moisturizing enough. It goes on great, feels wonderful and light . . . but perhaps a little too light b/c less than a couple of hours later my hair is dried out
confused.gif
Okay, maybe I wouldn't have noticed this before I ever tried Cathy Howse's UBH Lotion Creme Moisturizer, but the latter has gotten me used to the feel of silky soft moisturized hair. I shall (try to ) never stray again . . .
naughty.gif

Off to order a 16 oz bottle of the UBH now.

Oh, by the way, I'll be throwing the baby out w/the bathwater here, as I'm resigned to retire my use of the Pantene Wrap & Set Lotion as well. It may have helped to contribute to the dried out feeling of my hair after yesterday's use. Pantene . . . I barely knew thee.

Re: It\'s that time again! November Hits & Misses

Major League Hit: Microwaveable Conditioning Cap!

Misses:
Elasta QP H-2 Leave-In Conditioner. It left my hair hard and difficult to comb. Not my notion of a leave-in. I do believe I lost more than a few strands the two times I used it. I eventually poured the stuff down the drain, and recyled the container.

I had used a protein conditioner and it made my hair feel dry.I decided to use the Loreal Hot Oil and A bit of Mega Moisture and since I didn't have time to deep condition at home I left them on all day and went to the grocery,By the time I washed them out my hair was hard as a rock.I decided to use some LUSt in the shower to see if it would help but nothing got rid of the hard feeling until I rewashed my hair 3 days later.
I think I will follow the directions next time.I had read of people sleeping in the Hot Oil treatment so I thought it would be ok to leave it in for long tho

Re: It\'s that time again! November Hits & Misses

Gvsugirl,

I feel the same way about leave-ins. My hair dries much softe without them. Elucence in a very small amount tends to work well for me though.

Now, what's this Glory Shine oil that you spoke of?
