I haven't really been out there on the hair product prowl lately...
but I had to give at least a couple of November hits

Conditioner combo of Pantene Breakage Defense Mask, AVEDA Brilliant and Avalon Organic Botanicals Lavender Nourishing Conditioner, with a top off of WRTC.

My hair is really feeling the combo...:yep:....gonna work with this for awhile...

And my hair likes oil rinsing still, thanks hair cousin Sareca

I should have a couple of new things (on list, a conditioner Gym mentioned, Capilo Avocado Conditioner & Rinse, etc...)..for the December list:look:

Hit: Elasta QP Lye Relaxer. I used the Regular formula and texlaxed my hair, I love the results.

Miss: Sunsilk deFrizz
I've been co washing w/this...leaves my hair dry:ohwell:...moisturizing helps but I dont get any silky.:nono:

Now I've got 2 bottles to get rid of:perplexed

Hit:
Giovanni Direct Leave-In Conditioner
ORS Repleneshing Pak

Miss:
Co-washing frequently - I was hoping this would help me retain moisture but instead it had the opposite effect and my hair was shedding all over the place. I am not sure if it is because of the cold weather though. I may revisit this during the spring/summer.

Elasta QP DPR-11

:yay: Hit: Aussie Sydney Smooth tizz no frizz gel....it's does EXACTLY what it says it does *beats frizz into submission* (my description  ) it defines my coils for a fantastic lookin wash n' go :yep::up:

No misses

Nexxus Emergencee

- I haven't used a heavy protein in a long time. My hair has been feeling funny lately so I bought some last night. My hair feels much better now, thicker and very smooth. I look foward to using this again.

Neutral: Redken Dandruff Shampoo. I don't know why, but I like the strong citrus smell. I'm also glad I caught this for $4.99 at Marshall's. I even like that it tingled (albeit it sat there for 10 minutes before doing so). But my scalp still feels like it's gonna be itchy in about three days. Maybe my itchies aren't dandruff-related?

I also believe that Hydra TLC 24/7 Creme has turned on my hair. It seems to be a little dry and kind of frizzy in the morning. I won't call it a miss since all of my bottles were $2.50 or less. But still. I hate I'm back to square one. I may repurchase the Design Essentials in the 32oz...

I copped the old white bottle. I'm gonna be sick if you tell me they changed the formula.:barf:

People really can't leave well enough alone...Haven't they heard of "If it ain't broke, don't fix it"...I am still mourning my beloved Mizani moisturefuse old formula

MISS: Luster's Renutrients Slick Stick. Okay, why would I even try something by the makers of Pink Oil Moisturizer?! Well, I actually really like the Renutrients Oil Sheen, and the hairdress is decent. This stick? It pulled some of my hair out, creates a thick, white, waxy residue, and do you think ANY of my edges were held down? Huuuuhhhheck no!!

MISS: Keracare Hydrating Detangling Shampoo. I don't see what was so hydrating and detangling about it. That stuff left my hair a dry, tangled mess. I must have gotten a bad batch or it might have expired. Either way, I don't know what happened, but my hair was dry to the touch and it took forever to detangle and I lost lots of hair while doing it.

MISS: Una Bomba's Universal Conditioner & Rinse. I hate this stuff. Out of all the Dominican conditioners/rinses I have tried, that stuff is the worst (and I love me some dominican conditioners)!! It wasn't bad enough that the Keracare poo made my hair dry and tangled, this stuff took the cake. I used it thinking it would "revive" my hair with some protein and a added bit of moisture. Hell, the dryness got worse and so did the tangling. I ended up slathering on the Fermodyl and my leave in and let my hair be til my next wash day (today).

I was using the Keracare poo and conditioner for years...years! before I realized it wasn't working for me - in my mind...I thought it was....:nono:

Thank goodness for some pj'ism input (Hits and Misses and What Did You Buy This Week) and the thin/fine haired (and similar hair typed) members sharing what worked for them - using that feedback and by stopping putting my hair care in another person's hands - my hair has turned around in the past year. :yep:

hit-
roux porosity- think this is my best purchase this year, i think there's a tie, ors aloe poo is the best clarifier without stripping (another fab purchase).
aphogee 2 min
nacidit avocado con

miss-
nacidit avocado poo
nacidit avocado rinse- just ok did not detangle much, no slip.

Major Hit:

Salerm 21 leave in

Dont even ask me why it took me so long to get to try this. I just happened to return to NYC for Turkey Day and I passed by my favorite BSS and decided to buy it.

SOooo, today I washed and put some on before I rollersetted. My hair had so much slip that I had some difficulty rollersetting! I am sitting under the dryer right now and I can't wait to see the results.
