I tried to cornrow on myself a few yrs ago and my arms got really tired. This yr during the BET awards I was stuck in the house and couldn't drive but decided I was gonna learn.I braided my own head then my lil sisters hair.my mom and the internet told me the next day they were french braids and I figured out how to fix em.its a great skill to kno especially since my mother is getting older and she can't braid as tight for my 12yr old sis

I practiced on my neices hair last weekend and it came out alright.... :look: I have the general idea it's just position my fingers to grab additional hair that's my problem :scratchch

I definitely think it's a dying art and i'm determined to learn and will continue to practice. I've always wanted to learn

Thank God other people don't know this stuff. I can twist, I can braid, I can even do extensions now but anything flat on the head (flat twists, cornrows) stumps me :perplexed:

I can't cornrow to save my life, and I just had a daughter this year. Things will get interesting around here in another couple years.

I can't cornrow to save my life. I never liked having my hair in braids so I never learned. I've actually never gone and gotten my hair braided, either.
