) and my hair was greasy and dry at the same time. Go figure. I washed my hair maybe once a week, used a curling iron every day & couldn't figure out why it looked so unhealthy. I also didn't understand why I always had broken hairs on my pillow. Oh, and I used protein conditioners all the time without knowing the distinction between protein and moisturizing conditioners. I couldn't figure out why my hair was always so dry and breaking, and why I couldn't grow it to my childhood length of shoulder length. Trust me when I tell you, it was a mess.
. It is a wonder I retained any length. It is a good thing my hair grows out fast. I would always be a shoulder or a couple of inches past. Now I am 1.5 inches away from brastrap and I only go to my stylist when I get my touchup which is every 3-4 months.

Me too, but my hair was damaged from hair colors, not heat.
