When you first joined, who was your inspiration?

Kinikakes, Irresistable, Sylver2, Dlewis...the hair gurus!! LOL Actually, I've taken the advice and have been inspired by many members since starting my hair journey on LHCF in May 07. I continue to be inspired as well!

Sistaslick. I was doing a search for hair care and had just about given up on ever having silky smooth, healthy hair. Her fotki came up and I started following her tips for developing a regimen. Then I found LHCF. Now I have a love affair with my hair. :grin:

But almost everyone here has been my hair inspiration due to the fact most ladies here have a routine that works for them and are sticking to it (with the little add-ons and slips here and there). That inspires me to get a thorough "it-works-for-me-routine-too-bad-it-don't work-for-you-chica!" routine like so many have on here and staple products. I'm almost there not quite but soon :yep:

Sherrilove, SweetCashew, Lala, and Supergirl were my first inspirations and now I have close to 20 heads that have me :love:
 
^^:yep: I was a huge SweetCashew and Supergirl stan as well. I like Isis (no heat), Chicorro and Cichelle too. Quite a few come to mind...
 
Sylver 2 and Brownsugar9999...My mouth just dropped. I was beside myself when I found out Sylver lived in the same state as me :laugh:
 
I found Sylver2's fotki after I first had the thought to grow my hair long. Eventually I stumbled on LHCF during one of my searches, but I didn't become a paying member for almost a year.

I've since really added to my list, but she was the absolute first.

Babygurl (she was among the first that I saw with a really simple reggie and hair down to there :yep:)

Lauren450 (when she bc'd and now...love her natural hair)
Whipzeffect (her hair is always the bomb no matter what she chooses)
Poohbear (followed her when she had the just more than twa and follow her hair still today)
And there was this lady who got sisterlocs at a time when no one else seemed to be locing (as a past locer I admired such a bold "individual" move...haven't seen her since though)

Nay was a huge inspiration to me :)

As well as a lady called Jade21, that I first "met" on another site before this one. Her hair was down to her butt! She was so into vitamins and health care, very inspirational and helpful. I couldn't even have dreamed in my wildest dreams that my hair would be as long as hers one day :drunk: My hair was stuck on bra-strap, which is long, but I wanted super-long! :grin:

Now so many beautiful heads of hair have come and gone on this site, I can't even remember everyone.

The longer I'm here, the more I'm inspired by all kinds of hair types and hair regimens... In the beginning I was just looking for long natural hair.

mine was a lady named adrienne, she had almost waist length hair

this was wayyyyyy back i doubt she a member here anymore

Whatever happened to her? I loved her advice and her blog. The last time i tried to check her "blog" it was gone. I had great progress following some of her advice. I've never seen her hair ... didn't matter to me.

I wish I knew...her hair was Classic length though so maybe she was content and moved on to other things than hair :sad:
