What was the one product that turned your hair journey around?

AO HSR. This and HE HH are the only products that I routinely finish. If I could buy it in a tub, I would.

I don't know yet but I am loving Joico K-pak along with Mizani h20 night time treatment...wow! Waaaaay less breakage! Thanks Taz007!

It was Giovanni Leave-in for me. But the Later on It was my Maxiglide XP (I know it isn't a product but I ditched the burnt unhealthy pressing combs and hot irons. My ends made a big turn around.

AA

Aloe Vera gel
CASTOR OIL

These two products have made my transition so much easier. Aloe vera gel can be used to define curls, bring hair to proper ph levels, etc. Castor oil has been phenomenal for my moisture levels. I use both in my moisture spritz daily. Castor oil was that missing ingredient that has really changed my hair.

2 products:

Aloe Vera Gel
Glycerine

These are the only 2 things I need to make a gorgeous puff or a sleek bun...my holy grail!

1 Technique:

I never would have made it if I didn't learn about detangling under running water with hair loaded in conditioner...this saves sooo much time and hair!

Hairveda products turned my hair around. If I had to pick only two from the line it would be the Moist 24/7 and Sitrinillah.

I was doing fine with the very-little-conditioner challenge ...I started a thread about addiction/damage from conditioners and how companies make their products "synergistic." Yeah, right. I was doing fine with water-washing and oiling...until I used ppd henna (like Bigen) for pesky grays in my baby hair. Why did I do it??? Breakage from dryness...and long strands. What a mess.

Well, I'm back on conditioner to impart moisture until I can get over this Bigen/Indica disaster. ORS Replenishing Conditioner is simply AMAZING!!!! This is my first time using it and the first stroke from hand to hair...I knew it was incredibly effective stuff...and it smells like lemons. I'm going to buy a big bottle of it today.

I couldn't really choose a product, it's technique, consistency and belief that has done it for me.

The methods for me are stretching relaxers, using steam, regular moisturising and sealing, low manipulation, laying off the heat.

No Poducts but FREEFORMING. Leave my locs alone and they will grow healthy!

I just rememberd something, Moisture!!! I wash with moisture, I condition with moisture, I also clarify with baking soda. It does not have moisture but it does not strip my hair of its oils. It deep cleans and leaves my hair fluffy soft. I keep my moisture!

Umm I'm gonna cheat. I can't pick between them! Silk Amino Acids and understanding moisture/protein balance. I could never understand why my hair was always breaking and was so limp in the shower despite all the moisture I poured into it  When I finally started using protein I saw a huge turnaround.

alot of people think that. When I was in beauty school. I would ask people who colored their hair or did chemicals if used conditioner. Half of the time they said no. I was in ahh! I was like, do you not want to keep your hair on your head??

Silk Elements moisturizing treatment as a DC. man, i didn't know what moisturized hair truly felt like until i used it.

The one product that really turned my hair around was Aphogee 2 Minute reconstructor. It makes my hair so soft andd strong. This is the 1 product I will always continue to use in my HHJ

Initially just learning to live without heat/straightening my hair.

Then learning how to infuse moisture into my hair via steaming and using the CORRECT type of conditioner. Also, learning there is a difference in types of conditioners - protein vs moisturizing.

Lately, its been using Roux Porosity Control. Its made a HUGE difference in my hair in just two uses. WOW!
