What product was your best investment and why?

My raw Shea butter and my natural oils. I made my own oil mix, cut out the middleman.

Also, I bought the books Grow It! And the Cathy Howse book. Learned a lot!

My best hair-related investment has been my FHI Heat Nano Salon Pro 2000 blow dryer. It doesn't leave my hair dry like my former Gold n' Hot blow dryer, and I love that I don't have to constantly press the cool shot button.

I think my best investment was finding a completely seamless comb. I liked it so much when I found some more on sale I bought some for my mom and sister. Now it's their comb of choice too. LOL

It's from Creative Professionals.

Curl Junkie Daily Fix (cleansing conditioner). It gives me the best of both worlds: cleanser and conditioner in one. It doesn't dry out my hair nor leave it dirty.

$7 LHCF membership fee has been the best investment overall in terms of learning to care for my hair. Best haircare "product" that has changed my hair for the better without a doubt has been tea rinsing. Best tool has been my LCL hair steamer ( I live in Canada and it was expensive to ship from the US) but oh so worth the investment.

this isnt a tool but its what product ive given up.
shampoo.
i must say its a huge coincidence that when i stopped shampooing my hair 3 times a week(now i dont shampoo at all) the tangles and knots went away. now i use cleansing conditioners.
my favorite are deva curl no poo and curl junkie daily fix. i also like darcys cleansing cream.

so i guess im saying cleansing conditioners were a great investment.

A Denman brush! This has made all the difference in my HHJ. Before I started using the Denman I was ripping my hair out. Then I had the nerve to wonder why it never got passed SL...SMDH.

Two products, hands down: Aubrey Organics GPB/HSR, and Castor oil. My favs. ETA: Why? I'll tell you why, they are the only products I need in my whole arsenal. The ultimate intense moisturizers I use them for everything. AO for pre-poo, deep conditiong,co-washing/cleansing and in my everyday spritz. Castor oil is for my oil rinses, detangling, growth treatment, and daily spritz & sealing. I know, I said everything!

Porosity Control. Its helped me retain moisture like no other product. I also use it during the relaxing process to help neutralize.

A close second is Viviscal. Its a no side effect internal growth aid that actually works for me.

trigger oil.
i didnt buy it, a friend sent it to me but it has stopped my crazy shedding right in its tracks and im so excited. i was losing gulf ball size hair balls:nono: and i was certain i was gonna go bald. i started pre pooing with that oil and i swear i now lose like 5 hairs. i used to lose hairs in the shower and during styling. during styling now almost nothing comes out.

chebaby

What it trigger oil?

Scurl...the only moisturizer that keeps my hair mois..ecen when i skip a day or two...gotta get some more scurl asap..

The knowledge and understanding of how "pH" effects my hair. This knowledge allows me to put products in the proper order in my regimen. I test everything after I buy it and put the pH on the bottle in magic marker. High pHs (>7) are used for cleansing and lower pHs (<5) are used for final conditioners and leave-ins. The difference in my hair is mind-blowing. It's baby soft and super shiny. Better living through chemistry. LOL!

My steamer was my biggest investment....hands down. Hair stays moisturized for days and its relaxing. I feel like I'm in the spa when I'm under the steamer. Lol

+1. I can't narrow it down to just one product or tool, but the things I've learned I would probably never have known without LHCF :yep:

I agree I think with out my membership and all the members here,I wouldnt be nowhere I am now. This place got me to lay off the flat iron. I remember the first thing I did when I joined was give my flat iron away, probably hardest thing in my life lol .

The product I'm loving right now is my Burt's Bees Pomegranete Shampoo and Conditioner. The poo is sulphate and paraben free. My hair is much more moisturized and less frizzy. It's a volumizing poo and condish and I have noticed a little bit more volume which is a good thing for my fine hair strands.

So, I love hair stuff. Don't get me wrong. I love it.
I just don't buy it anymore because I have most of the ingredients in the basement.
So I thought I might treat myself to something long lasting and moisturizing all in one product.

I wanted this thread to be about suggestions or to just say what is that one product that works great for your hair and pockets.

The last product that did it all for me was curls whipped

I used it on my hair, scalp, everything. But its $17.00 and I kill that jar in like a month :ohwell:

I need something that I don't have to be so heavy handed with...

So anyways what product was your best investment and why?

This is gonna sound stupid but do you think watering it down would help is last longer?

I know. I have learned so much here. In fact, I just learned something a few days ago that cracked the code on my hair. And I've been around here since '05! I will share in another post.
