What Is Your Hair Type?

1. I have always been told that I have fine hair. (Limp?)
2. I definitely know that its thin. (unhealthy)
3. I cant function without a perm, but it only takes about 5 mins to relax my ng (styles)
4. I dont have any of the pretty curls (type 3) without a perm and rollers, but my ng lays really flat (not #1).

I think i have it figured out now, but I am still scared to say 2a. The funny thing is, b4 the boards, I thought the weave hair color was my hair type Now I know better. Black hair does not make me a #1

Catsuga, I am visual so those pics were very helpful. I was able to look at the little girl and see I was always right about my daughter, she is definitely a 4a.

Im 4a/b the top of my head has tight waves when cut...andkinky coily curl thingies (lol i can't really explain it), when i have legnth, whilst the sides havea really tight/almost invisible curl pattern....however the nape and certain parts in the middle are just different...its like a STRAIGHT afro ...i dunno what to identify that as...

My front is 4b, but my back is tight, coily 4a. Strange.

something extremely strange though, i have a few (about 20 to 30) strands sticking out the right side of my head... i swear i think they are 2a or 2b... very straight, no coil at all even after wash and condition... they stick out while the rest of my hair becomes extremely kinky 4b hair.

Thanks. I have 3c that look like cork screws, 4a coily little springs, and I thought 4b that look like ramen noodles. Maybe it's just looser 4a.

I think I am 3b 3c and 4a if there is such a thing. Here's a pic of my hair natural. It's not the greatest pic but it gives and idea...The front is 3b the back is 3c/4a right? I miss my natural days hmmm

I think overall I am a 3c, originally I thought maybe I was a split 3c-4a but since I have been properly moisturizing my hair it has softened up more than previously and I can say I am probably 85-90% 3c and 110-15% 4a in some patches. I also feel I have even smaller patches of 3b hair L . I find its pretty common to have different textures on one head so if I had to classify my hair I would say it’s a 3c, but really its all of 3b-4a
