A head full of nothing but 4A hair, just like BlackCardinal.

I meant to mention this before, but I see a lot of 4A in your hair, J., to the point where I think you're more like me--mostly 4a with some 4b.

I just want more hair though I already have a lot ...type doesnt matter. As long as the comb goes through with ease.

Yeah, I'm about 75% 4A, but it seems like that 25% 4B is what runs the show on my head. Given the choice I'd rather have all one texture.

Same as what I have just sans any chemical treatments or relaxers.

Then why don't you go natural?

You can have that.
ETA: This question is to any relaxed person who wants 4a/b hair-WHY relax if you want/can handle/yearn for that type of hair?

maybe she is saying that she wished her relaxed hair was her natural texture?

Maybe. I didn't think of it like that.

I edited to ask all of the relaxed heads who said they love 4a/b hair. Why don't they just go natural if they love it so much? It's not like one of those things where you absolutely CAN'T have it and/or it will never have it. You can ALWAYS freely grow out your relaxer.

I'll bet its that darn transitoning period they have to put up with. I dont blame em...I was just one of those folks who didnt care if they looked a HAM for about six months while my hair grew back

now what I dont understand is how some people say they will grow their hair to WL and then transition...not knocking it but I would just get it over with. between getting to WL with relaxed hair and then transitioning to try to get back to WL natural hair, you will be growing out your hair for the next 8 years. Im impatient

I don't get that either. All that time they could have double the natural hair by then.

Super Thick 3b.

what she said. perhaps it's an unpopular pick with some, but mega thick 4b (though i feel blessed to have thick healthy hair) is A LOT of work, and I mean...who wouldn't love the ease of a wash, a little product, and go?

But don't take that as meaning I don't love my hair. The more I work and nurture my hair the more I love it, and that's what it's all about.

Simple... strinkage! I love my hair. I don't love that for every inch it grows, in it's natural state, it looks 1/4in longer. I stretch long because I miss my natural texture esp if the texturizer is too straight. I texturize because I wanna see length. My first texturizer (that I loved) looked exactly like my natural texture except it was longer and required less product.

I like my 3C hair I just wish my strands were thicker..I texlaxed cuz I was tired of being natural I rocked the big hair "Rachel True /Scary Spice" look long enough..I wanted to do the roller sets straight styles doobies wraps without the fear of a drop of moisture in the air and my hair going POOF

I love and finally understand my hair but if I had to chose something different than my own, I voted 3b. I think those curls would be bigger natural curls so that I could go between leaving it curly when I felt or straightening with a flat iron without the use of relaxers.
