The polls state BSL as being the majority but the posts seem to state APL. Since there was not an option for APL I think the ppl who stated APL in their posts chose BSL in the polls. Atleast thats what I did. :ohwell:

But as a side note I have seen women with a chin length bob, all even and thick, including the bangs and it seemed long to me IDK? I need to find a pic to show.

I always think hip length because I grew up around women who had that length when they would take down their braided bun(s). I had a childhood friend who was hiplength from 1st to 12th grade. As soon as she became an adult, she cut it off to shoulder length to spite her mother:blush::nono:. She keeps it armpit length at the longest now:ohwell:.

this was me till a couple months ago. my hair was like straw. now its hair.......it really, really is!
 
I voted BSL, to me that is long and for right now that is my goal to be a healthy full BSL. Over summer 2007 it was around July and I had a trim in May which put me at around SL but by July I did have some growth, and one of my co workers commented on my hair and said it was long. I was like :huh:?. In April my hair was APL with completely raggedy ends and one of my co workers asked if it was my hair again I *scratched my head*. Two weeks ago I got a trim set me back but hoping to make APL by the end of the summer, I am about an inch or two from APL and my mom asked if I had a weave.

***So I am not trying to Jack your thread but what do you ladies think long hair is to women not on the hair boards. I look at my hair and I tell it to grow and people see my hair and say its long and to me it is short.
 
I voted BSL to MB. Anything past MB is ultra-long to me. I'll never grow my hair past WL, possibly MB. Anything longer would be too long for me to manage.
 
If a man wore shoulder length hair, people would say he is wearing long hair, so I say a woman with shoulder length hair also has long hair. :grin:
