Full APL or longer is what I consider "long". But since that wasn't an option I voted for BSL + :spinning:
 
I've always considered full APL as long..but as I'm learning more about how our hair can grow to however long we wish, I see BSL and below as long.
 
I consider thick and healthy APL long hair...

Thick healthy APL is better than thin, lifeless BSL in my humble opinion.
 
To me, long hair is full, blunt ended APL. (I'm not there yet, but I'm practising my dutty wine walk already):drunk:

a lot of ladies can reach apl in a yers time if they keep the hair from sweeping up against the shoulder as its growing out,:rolleyes:

This is true.
I have a guy friend who is obsessed with my hair and ALWAYS wants to know why I wear extensions/wigs/weave...he was like, "do you see how long your hair is though...why do you keep puttin' that 'stuff' in your hurr".
I just looked at him like... :look::nono::hand::ha:. I really don't think my shoulder length hair is long, and for me, WHEN I get to BSL I will consider my hair long. I have since explained the whole protective style thing-a-mi-jig to him
But I've noticed that different hair lengths look long on different people :look:. I think it kinda depends on how big your head is, how long your neck is and how long your back is :look:.

ITA with the bolded. On me, APL didn't look that long, but I'm a petite 5"3...maybe that's why...:look:
