Well, well, there are some interesting prospects at my Whole Foods!

^^^^^ I really hope some of you ladies take advantage of your Whole Foods "meat department." :lachen:

jamaica68, you'd better go and tell us who you observed/met.

Remember: you don't have to buy anything at Whole Paycheck! Just bring a magazine and sit down. Or maybe even something unusual that will get people's attention and allow him to come up to you and break the ice--like knitting.

Personally, I'd invest in in a coffee at least, so that I can look like I'm legitimately there to eat or drink.

Okay, I have decided to go to this one on Saturday. I am not sure about parking so I may just foot it over there from Union station and let that be my exercise for the day. I will report back about what happens (if anything). I will take Chicitygril's advice and head over @ around 1pm.

I have a cousin who works for WF and says they are one of the best companies in the world. They treat their employees like gold and give them (and their families) great benefits. So I would gladly date a WF worker. However at the closest one to my parents place in the ATL, were college kids and def gay dudes working. And the few Black men I did see were with Beckys.

However, I did visit a gf in Austin and lemme tell u that's where the hot WF men are poppin!!! In fact, hot guys were everywhere in Austin...maybe that's where I should move to next!

Lmao.

Im not surprised. From what Ive seen it's certain kind of guys that shop at stores like that cos it usually means they are watching what they eat or at least aware of better alternatives cos why else would someone go to a place so bloody expensive for anything LOL esp as a guy

My ex introduced me to Whole Foods actually and I remember yelling at the price of grapes :lachen:but yea he's one of the type of men you mentioned in the list

Yep, Austin is full of very attractive people no matter the race and people are very nice! It really is a great place to live if you are into its' laid back vibe, I think you'd really like it there. I'm currently planning to move back :)

There is an inside joke for the ladies of Atlanta that the place to meet your husband is at WHOLE FOODS! I don't know where you are, but the stores here are a goldmine...lol...

FOR ALL AGES

Yeah, black men mostly from the Gold Coast and near northside neighborhoods. Especially on Saturdays and early evenings on weekdays. Don't go too late on Saturdays though because lame thirsty dudes hang out at the beer bar there before they head over to that strip club across the street.

ahh we'll all end up seeing each other there! lol.

Well I went today. after it taking over an hour to get there and getting lost in the store, I wasn't lookin for any one but the exit :lachen: I would try this place again during the summer. It was too crowded and parking was insane (yeah, it will be just as hectic if not worse, but atleast you could take your food outside and eat instead of having to walk up a flight and a half of stairs)!!! I am not handicapped, but this store is not handicap friendly. Parking: you'd think we were going into a mall or a casino, it was that hectic. Everyone seemed to be coupled up from what i noticed. But I love WFs just in general, so I was also trying to take it all in. The WFs in Lincoln Park is flippin massive. I had a couple of WF employees  my way, but by that time I just wanted to go home. I didn't get a lot sleep last night so once I did get back home I crashed. I am going to try the WF by Union Station may be tomorrow or next weekend.

LOL @ this thread. I've never been in the Lincoln Park WF...maybe I should make a trip soon

ETA: maybe a bunch of us LHCF Chicago ladies can make an outing of it. Chitown meetup/prowl

Good gracious, that must be a BIG Whole Foods indeed!

I'm so happy you jumped right in and went so soon, though! But wait--did you go on Friday or Thursday...and at what time did you go? I know Thursday is a functional Friday in some cities because people go out after work a lot Thursdays and then stay home in the suburbs on the weekend. Don't know if Chicago's like that. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were more couples out and about on a Thursday than say, on aTuesday or Wednesday.

It does sound a hectic mess, though.

But GOOD FOR YOU for your sense of adventure and go-get-em-ness!

I was supposed to go today but I didn't end up making it. I was being a lazy bum. I may go tomorrow or just wait until later in the week.

^^^ I love being a lazy bum, so I can't fault you there.

In my locale, the weekday seemed more promising, 'cause like I said, the parents pushing the prams come out on the weekends in my Whole Foods!

Thanks! I went today at around 2:30pm. stayed about an hour. That store is massive. I mean people everywhere. They couldn't keep the shelves stocked. it was a mad house. lol I may try to head to a second WF in the city tomorrow or Monday since I dont have to work. Everyone there today was pretty focused on shopping :yep:

I love shopping at whole paycheck...i see a variety of people there. I get some hair stuff there..even though it is cheaper on line...i go there to get the other things i like..

Any high end store that has a sit down eaterie is likely to be a good place to meet men.

Yes, the more health conscious men and with more disposable income can be found at places like Whole Foods, but for mutual compatibility, it helps if you too are health conscious. Makes no sense to hook up with a health conscious man if you're addicted to fatty and processed foods.

The last time I was in Oakland, CA I went to the Whole Foods there, and there were so many attractive men. :yep:

Whole Foods is the TROOF! (yes, troof)

Before i started working i used to go and sit, work, eat, people watch there for HOURS. The one in Union Square, i love it..It's got that huge panaramic window/wall with a great view of the park. My goal is to live in a shoe box in union square so i can be in walking distance to it, LOL.

And the menz..very nice....definitely is a certain type of crowd that congregates there. I am approached there almost everytime i go...its mostly folks im not interested in though, lol. But still...folks are buzzin over there.

Let me know if you need a roommate:yep:

I tried to make it to the WF on Canal. I had no idea how for that was from the train station, until I got there. I will have to break down and drive :yep: They make it seem like it is right around the block on the WF website. There was a guy that I saw while crossing the street (he was going one way and I the other. He tried for like 40 seconds to gain eye contact and I was all :look: and when I did look at him he gave me the biggest smile and I was still like :look:  then I scurried away. There were entirely too many "normal looking" (whatever that is) people talking to themselves on the streets of the Chicago yesterday. I didn't know who was who, so I just hurried home. :lachen:

I used to live there. Very cool city. :)

Whole Foods got started in Austin, IIRC. So it makes sense that their flagship store is the spot to frequent. I always make a trip there when I'm in town visiting fam and friends...even if I don't need anything...lol.

Did not know that...

Is the flagship store downtown or by the arboretum? I love their food. Just so freakin' good!

Then again when you think about it. It takes a certain type of man to buy organic! Whole Foods prices are no joke!

I'm going to go to the super whole foods in lincoln park tomorrow (saturday)

so if any of niko's cousins sees a lone girl with a laptop stop by and say hi :drunk:

i guess i'll find a place to sit upstairs in the dining area?

I went last Thursday after work. It was pretty crowded so there was no where to sit. So I ended up getting what I needed and went home. But I was so in awe of how people were grocery shopping with beer and glasses of wine in hand. That Whole Foods in ridiculous, but I love it. Oh, and I didn't see any black dudes(my personal preference).

I think I may try this again at the one on Roosevelt so I can run into more brothers.

Have fun tomorrow and make sure to report back!

ooh nooo  if you didn't see any there's no need for me to drive up there, and I know that one part of N. ave is always so congested.

I regularly shop at the one on roosevelt and never see *single black guys, only on occasion. I see lots of black men with white women and kids. oh wait there was an old man with one of those croched kofis on :-/.
