^^^^^ I really hope some of you ladies take advantage of your Whole Foods "meat department."
jamaica68, you'd better go and tell us who you observed/met.
Remember: you don't have to buy anything at Whole Paycheck! Just bring a magazine and sit down. Or maybe even something unusual that will get people's attention and allow him to come up to you and break the ice--like knitting.
Personally, I'd invest in in a coffee at least, so that I can look like I'm legitimately there to eat or drink.
I have a cousin who works for WF and says they are one of the best companies in the world. They treat their employees like gold and give them (and their families) great benefits. So I would gladly date a WF worker. However at the closest one to my parents place in the ATL, were college kids and def gay dudes working. And the few Black men I did see were with Beckys.
However, I did visit a gf in Austin and lemme tell u that's where the hot WF men are poppin!!! In fact, hot guys were everywhere in Austin...maybe that's where I should move to next!
Yeah, black men mostly from the Gold Coast and near northside neighborhoods. Especially on Saturdays and early evenings on weekdays. Don't go too late on Saturdays though because lame thirsty dudes hang out at the beer bar there before they head over to that strip club across the street.
LOL @ this thread. I've never been in the Lincoln Park WF...maybe I should make a trip soon
ETA: maybe a bunch of us LHCF Chicago ladies can make an outing of it. Chitown meetup/prowl
after it taking over an hour to get there and getting lost in the store
Good gracious, that must be a BIG Whole Foods indeed!
I'm so happy you jumped right in and went so soon, though! But wait--did you go on Friday or Thursday...and at what time did you go? I know Thursday is a functional Friday in some cities because people go out after work a lot Thursdays and then stay home in the suburbs on the weekend. Don't know if Chicago's like that. But I wouldn't be surprised if there were more couples out and about on a Thursday than say, on aTuesday or Wednesday.
It does sound a hectic mess, though.
But GOOD FOR YOU for your sense of adventure and go-get-em-ness!
Yep, Austin is full of very attractive people no matter the race and people are very nice! It really is a great place to live if you are into its' laid back vibe, I think you'd really like it there. I'm currently planning to move back
Any high end store that has a sit down eaterie is likely to be a good place to meet men.
Yes, the more health conscious men and with more disposable income can be found at places like Whole Foods, but for mutual compatibility, it helps if you too are health conscious. Makes no sense to hook up with a health conscious man if you're addicted to fatty and processed foods.
The last time I was in Oakland, CA I went to the Whole Foods there, and there were so many attractive men.

I used to live there. Very cool city.
Whole Foods got started in Austin, IIRC. So it makes sense that their flagship store is the spot to frequent. I always make a trip there when I'm in town visiting fam and friends...even if I don't need anything...lol.
I was supposed to go today but I didn't end up making it. I was being a lazy bum. I may go tomorrow or just wait until later in the week.
I went last Thursday after work. It was pretty crowded so there was no where to sit. So I ended up getting what I needed and went home. But I was so in awe of how people were grocery shopping with beer and glasses of wine in hand. That Whole Foods in ridiculous, but I love it. Oh, and I didn't see any black dudes(my personal preference).
I think I may try this again at the one on Roosevelt so I can run into more brothers.
