Vitamin Challenge 2011

Took my collagen, vitamin c, Omega Swirl :lick:, silica, D3 and gelatin. :drunk:

Took my vits. Going to go look for some collagen, I doubt I'm gonna find diatomaceous earth round these parts :ohwell:

Sure you can join! I will be adding names for a while.
For the ladies taking 5000 mcg of biotin or more, what are you doing to avoid breakouts?

I'm taking my B-Complex to hopefully keep away the breakouts. I've slowly increased my water intake from 64 oz. to about 100 oz. just to be sure I flush any excess out of my system.

I didn't take my vitamins yesterday, but I'm holding myself accountable. I did pop my pills this morning!

Hope everyone is doing good!

I do have good news to report:

I got my hair braided (box braids with extensions) 4 weeks ago (immediately after my BC) and started my own personal vitamin challenge then. No better way to track growth than with fresh hair! I've started taking my braids down and I can already see growth! A lot of growth, just in those few short weeks. I didn't take pictures when I did my BC :nono::badgirl: but I will take pictures of my hair as soon as I get all these braids out.

So if anyone is taking vitamins/supplements for the hair growth benefit just maintain your daily intake and you'll see results!

As for what I'm taking, please just look below.

Took my vitamins today. I must say they've also been encouraging me to drink more water. Plus I've discovered that I MUCH prefer water at room temperature.

I miss my morning smoothies already, I must find a new blender! Been taking my vitamins everyday (morning and night) and drinking plenty of water. I noticed that my skin isn't as dry and my nails are growing stronger. I don't like having to shave so much though.

Hey chicas: I just found this thread and love it. Ive been checking it out on my transit ride from work.

ONE REQUEST: pls don't just reference your siggie for your bit regimen. Two reasons:
1. I can't see it when viewing from the iPhone
2. Signatures change. Hopefully this thread will be filled with phenomenal results and others will want to learn from you. This could be a year plus from now. If your siggie changes all your info is lost :(

Thx for keeping this somewhat selfish request in mind ;)

I forgot to check in yesterday, but I took all of my vitamins.

Yes! I see that so much and it drives me nuts :spinning: especially if it's a progress picture or something like this:

"OMG guys, I used blankety-blank conditioner and it made my hair crazy soft and shiny and bouncy and it was soooo awesome! I'm in love, this is the best conditioner EVAR! Results in my siggy."

I scroll down, all excited and stuff... and the signature is something totally different. Hurts my little feelings. :lachen:

Sure, that's what this challenge is for. The more the merrier. :) What's in your protein shake?

hey can i join too??

ive been taking my vitamins since the 1st of july!

2 green tea extract pills
2 vitamin shoppe skin hair and nails
1 fish oil
1 b-1
1 multi vitamin

i was taking niacin as well but i stopped because it was making me itch and i researched it and it said that too much niacin can make your skin itch. i was scratchin my scalp, arms and legs for at least 20 minutes and figured something was off. lol glad to know im not dirty!

but so far the skin hair and nails vitamins seem to be working because my nails grew so fast in a week! hopefully it helps with hair growth. the green tea extract has helped curb my appetite and hopefully it revs up my metabolism but i dunno how i could measure that.

UPDATE: Got my full bottle of Cod Liver oil yesterday, it's great because I got an even bigger bottle for $2 more than the regular sized one I get at my normal vitamin place. The new place is a grocery store south of my apartment on the same street so it's more convenient to get there even though both places are close. I'll add the silica to my regimen I wanted to buy like next month or so.

I use the Jillian michaels whey protein but once this is gone I want to find something else. It's not bad but I want one that has more "healthy stuff" I guess you'd say, in it.
I usually mix in whatever I have in the fridge. Milk, fruit, juice, etc.

This is what I do also and it seems to be working for me.

I hope everyone is doing well. Bought a new blender today :meme: and made my first green smoothie. It doesn't taste all that great but it will help me to get more veggies into my diet for sure. Oh, and of course I took my vitamins for today. :)

What did you put in it?

Can I still join? I just got nioxin recharging complex pills. And although I am excited to take them I know i will need encouragement and help to be take them everyday. So being apart of this challenge will be a great reminder to take my supplement. Oh and I'm thinking about taking MSM as well.
