I just think that we all must continue to show restraint here on this forum. We here at LHCF are always looked upon as being really cool people and I hate to see it turn the wrong way, for our sake!

She responded to my PUBLIC post in a PM. I felt no need to have a private convo with her. I still dont. If she feels as if she doesnt want that PM posted she is very welcome to ASK me and I will consider removing it. Either way my opinion will not change.

As a business woman who is soliciting money from the masses (instead o fa business loan), I felt as though people might want to see what she had to say about how much money she is getting. But then again these are the SAME people she insulted at one point in time. So what difference would it make if they hear all of what she has to say? I dont think her saying she's got thousands of dollars would be any more offensive than calling people bitter. :look:

Also Im not heated/semi heated/bitter. I said it before and Ill say it again. She has a good thing going on here. Maybe one day I will have the opportunity to solicit thousands of dollars from people. Ride it till the wheels fall off! Your website may not be the best and your product may not have gotten the Sallys contract or appreared on Oprah like she wanted BUT THIS business plan is paying off! Congrats:yep:

hhahahaha..what color elephant do you want to be? How about a pretty lavender one cause you dont forget nothing!!!! I do remember this as well...I would never wish ill on anyone that is trying to have their own business and be their own boss but there are certain ways to go about these type things and make sure something you do doesnt come back on you in the future. Best of luck to you Michelle in finally finding away to get your product off the ground.

Wow... that's messed up that it went down like that. Maybe she's reformed... I mean, even after all that's been said here, she has yet to fly off the handle. That was before my time on here. Fortunately, MichelleHall's been nothing but nice to me. I didn't send her money, but I did purchase two more ponytails from her site when I heard about her issue. I love the ponytails anyway, so I thought that was a good idea. I know that it doesn't matter to you ladies, but the ladies that want to do something to help, but don't want to just send money for nothing can do that, buy a ponytail.:yep:

I'm not into phony ponies, but God bless those who are. Since you have so many loyal customers and people willing to donate, even if it is just $1, how about just having China mass produce the lowest amount possible and then sell them? You can even hold some type of drive/raflle/fundraiser where people can donate $1 and have UPA clips sent to girls women/with alopecia, or something like that. Just a thought. :look:

I remember that thread. I did not come to the board a few days after that because some ladies got all upset because of my review. I was not going to say anything, but since she wanted a review I told her that I did not purchase because I felt that the hair would look fake on me and even the pics on the site showed women that made the hair look too fake-y. I had several ladies that agreed that we don't support each other blah blah blah. I was like :perplexed Why ask if you don't want the truth!

and honestly, everytime I hear UPA clip, I think of that experience and it prevents me from giving it another chance. Just like you, it left a bad taste in my mouth.

I for one appreciate your honesty and warnings. Because people are so nice people on here (Not even talking about Michelle, because I have customer experience with her) you can forget that people are who they want to be on the computer and that people do have to be careful. I'm still relatively a newbie, so I wasn't here for the mentioned thread or the video tape lady. We all should be careful, ITA with that. I am curious though, what happened with a video tape lady??

This is why I RESPECTFULLY ask that when product threads get locked that they don't get deleted.

It gives people some perspective on who they are giving their money to.

I don't even know where to start on this one...so I'll just co-sign every one of JG's, Tenny's and Beautifulisanunderstatement posts.

And just for informational purposes: did you know it's ILLEGAL to send money in the mail in the USA? And if cash isn't properly concealed, they keep that ish? Every piece of mail is sorted and screened...part of that screening includes a well lit table each and every envelop is placed on to make sure there's nothing funny inside. So Michelle's claim that she's getting numerous envelops daily where money is clearly visible is questionable at best. And if what Michelle is saying in her pm is true and she's received thousands of dollars, the women here obviously have more money than sense!!! :wallbash: Anyone itching to piss their hard earned money away can pm me and I'll give you my paypal info. No sob stories or bulls*it, I'll be honest I just want money. :lachen:

This is not true at all. I met personally with Oprah's producers who love the UPA Clip. They did not bring me on the show because they felt I would not be able to produce the thousands of orders that would follow an appearance on Oprah's show. They shared with me several businesses that had to go out of business because they could not meet the orders that followed their appearance on Oprah's show. They also shared that they received thousands of complaints from people who were not able to purchase the products. So, they told me to check back with them when I was in a position to mass produce the UPA Clip.

This is the same issue with Sally Beauty Supply. They felt I would not be able to mass produce and backed out even though after going to China and proving that I could mass produce.

I'm not sure that it's illegal. It's just not recommended, because if mail doesn't need to be signed for, then it could easily be taken by those handling it once they know what is inside.
Also, if mail gets misplaced as it often does, then the sender is at a greater loss than they would have been had they just sent a money order or paid by some other means.

FYI: It's not illegal to mail cash in the US. It's extremely stupid, but it is legal.
