Thinking of trying an interracial dating site, but . . .

I'm concerned that I'll just get "freaks" who want to live out their chocolate fantasy :drunk: Just like by going to Christian sites, you find folks who want to get freaky behind the pulpit. (Yes, happened to a friend of mine.) Or the BBW/BHM sites where you get freaks with a fat fetish.

I swear, you cannot win! *lol*

Anyone have positive experiences on an interracial dating site? Which ones do you recommend - to use and to avoid?

Thanks!

I would recommend afroromance BLACK AND WHITE DATING - Specialists in Interracial Dating . It is one of the more popular and better organized interracial sites I have seen.

You can do an advanced search for men who are in your area and can search for all or specific race(s) of men that are looking for black women to date, so you don't end up clicking on a profile of a man that wouldn't give you a chance anyway.

Whether online or IRL use common sense and talk to them online as well as in person. I think If you spend enough time with the guy you can figure out if he's dating you for the wrong or right reasons.

Sorry I have no advice to add but this post is funny!:lachen:

I say go for it. Be open! Im not saying men of other races are any better. Men are men, but you see so many single black women for what? Be careful of users but just be yourself and have fun.

eh, i tried afroromance a while ago but i was not serious about it. Maybe my lack of seriousness projected through the net because i was getting all sorts of questionable e-mails and winks from the "gents"

Go in with a positive vibe. You sound disappointed and you haven't even created a profile yet! LOL

I wish you luck! Hope you find your soulmate!

Why not go to a regular site and meet who you meet? Black, white, brown, yellow purple...
She could do the same thing on a interracial dating site. One of the success stories section featured a woman that was 1/2 black 1/2 white looking for a white/european descent male. But a black guy contacted her saying I know I'm not what you specified I would like to get to know you. Fast forward they are engaged and getting married.

I notice a good number of people men/women list their own race under ethnicity they are searching for.

She could end up finding a black man on there but as another poster said she'd have options with other men that are looking for interracial relationships with black women.

That place is not for the faint of heart. It has a kid in the candy store mentality and you have to be prepared for the fact that you are merely an option amoung many, many Black women looking for the same thing you are. The number of Black women seeking non-Black men, specifically White men around the world are increasing fast and don't think that has not gone unnoticed. :look:

My advice would be to have this website as an option as well as meeting people in person outside of this webiste. Keep your social life. That's all I got. Sorry.
