Things you WON'T do to your hair in 2010

1. Relax it
2. Go more than 2 weeks (and it has to be a dire emergency to even get past a week) without thoroughly cleansing my scalp and hair and DCing it.
3. "Forget" (read laziness)to wrap my hair up at night.
4. 'Try" not to use Mineral Oil (it has really worked for me this year)
5. Allowing crazy stylists/ hairdressers near my hair (DIY is working for me). You can just tell a bad stylist/ hairdresser from there outdated and crazy hair practices and the dirty looks you get when you try to tell them you don't do that to your hair. I had one stylist who used to apply spray oil to weave hair before flat ironing it. Instant fried weave hair??? :nono::nono::nono:

OK fine I'll pray for you then LOL j/k

What I won't do in 2010 is let anybody cut my hair. As much as it breaks my heart, I promise not to buy any conditioners until the one bottle that I have at home is gone. I promised myself that if and when I do place an order online I will give myself a budget.

Last but not least, no bandwagons next year. Don't care if bug spray can claim to give me 2 inches of hair a month. Ain't doing it!
But what if the bug spray comes in 439890 different scents?? :look:
Haha yeah I completely fell of this year, and I realize that's why I think my hair isn't growing--I'm not taking the pictures to see the length anymore.

If anything, update for me, I always like looking at your updates
I'm the same way! I don't feel like my hair grew, even though in the back of my mind I know better. It's just better when you have a visual reference.
I won't dye it
I won't bleach it
I won't cut it lol
You better not! :spank:
I won't....

.......change what I am doing right now. No setbacks so far, and I think I'd like to maintain the status quo...

cj
This is good! Stick to what is working :yep:

I will not:

Sleep without a silk scarf.

Neglect deep cons with oil and thick conditioner.

Jump on a bunch of bandwagons.

Keep the huge stash I have...I am narrowing my staples down.

Pay anyone to do my hair weekly when I am better at doing my own!

Allow anyone to make negative comments to me about transitioning, natural hair, etc.

and lastly and most important....

I WILL NOT RELAX!!!!!!!!!!! :D Yay for my transition!

I plan to clarify at least once a week (I use a lot of cones and gel and wax for my wet buns).

HHG! :)

In 2010:

I will not skip my vitamins
I will not DC less than once a week
I will not stretch relaxers
I will not try new products

I had a major setback this year:

I will not BKT
I will not do any highlights
I will not not jump on anymore bandwagons
I will not use any hard brushes on my edges
I will not use any ponytail holders
I will not stress
I will not neglect to oil my scalp
I will not talk negative or wish for what I don't have in terms of my hair (i.e. wishing for wavy hair as opposed to my curls)

Oh the most important....no too hot dominican blowouts!!

I will not get my hair trimmed by stylist, every eight weeks; my ends are usually quite healthy and even but I was trimming just because I thought it was the right thing to do.

I will not use a blow dryer to dry my hair, ever. This causes my hair to break and shed.....and I actually thought this was natural.

Make sure my hair stays moisturized, my hair looooves moisture....I'll be cowashing twice a week and DC once per week.

Wear more protective styles this winter

Stretch my relaxers out to 12 weeks.....cowashing makes this a lot easier, hallelujER!!!

Pay attention to moisture/protein balance.

Oh and one more thing.....I will cease from being a product junkie. Is there a twelve step program for this disease? Can someone please come up with one; I would greatly appreciate it.

I wouldn't even know. My 12 step program would probably have to be court ordered

Man oh man! I WISH this were on my "will not" list!! :lachen::lachen:

:lachen::lachen:I hear ya! My MBL hair is only about 50% relaxed (texlaxed), so I have lots of thickness and shrinkage. Plus I have a small face/head and body frame. Factoring all that in, by the time I reach full WL, my hair with be BIG enough (and long enough) for me.

I will not wet comb my hair(this leads to major breakage for me). I will not wash/dc only once a week(my seborrheic dermatitis flares up if I do not wash/dc every other day).

I will not:
-be going to any hair salons in 2010
-try no more than 2 new products for the year (I have my staples but may get bored)
-use direct heat more than 2 twice per month

I won't color my hair since that caused the most damage.

I won't trim my hair frequently.

I won't apply heat to my hair as much.

I won't go a day without moisturizing and sealing.

I won't neglect my ends.

I won't follow any hair myths anymore.

I won't subject my hair to stylist more than four times a year.

I will NOT use the blowdryer. I don't know if it's the comb to it or what, but I swear I only have to use that thing once and I'll be paying for it for the next year.

I won't get highlights
I won't skip Olive Oil Pre Poos
I won't use the flatiron more than once a month.
I won't do any major cutting.
I won't relax before 8 weeks again
I won't go crazy on product purchases

I won't have any self inflicted setbacks!!!!

I will not comb thru *damp* hair :blush::blush: w/o first spraying water onto it
I will not relax my hair
I will not ignore massaging JBCO on my edges
I will not use the highest heat setting for DC b/c it burns my scalp

I won't use excessive heat
I won't product jump
I won't over manipulate it
I won't slack on my regimine or my nutrition (when my body is healthy so is my hair)
I won't stress over it all (after all its only hair)

I won't do anything to my hair that will get in the way of my goal for APL. :wink2: I won't trim too often, skip on DCing, experiment in excess, use too much heat, etc. The basics...

mess with it...period. Ive come to the conclusion my hair hates my hands period. It grew so fast when i left it alone under my wig.

I won't slack on my hair.

I won't start using heat at the sight of a little progress.

I won't say that I'm not going to buy or try any new products in 2010 because then I would be lying. :lachen:

Ya'll are in DENIAL!!!

You know you are going to try some new products!!

Embrace it!
