Hey ladies,
Me and my sis was discussing this earlier-How much would you pay for a product? What is the most money that you have ever paid for a single product? Did it deliver on it's claim?? Were you satisfied?

Just wanted to see were everyone else stood on this issue!

I voted 26 bucks. I paid that much for the Aveda Damage remedy reconstructor conditioner. I am HIGHLY satisfied too. I am considering buying the liter sizes too.

Let's just say I've purchased the Alterna White Truffle Shampoo and Conditioner once in the past (won't say how much it retails for, but I did get it off Ebay at least), Dudley DRC, and Miss Jessie's Curly Buttercreme.

Were the worth it??? DRC did as it stated and it was cheaper than getting the treatment at the salon, Alterna white truffle, very nice shampoo and conditioner, but it was so expensive I was afraid to use it, so I never saw it's "potential", lol.

Buttercreme, does just as it says...but the price is now just over the top!

ETA: Oh, BBD Stetch. It's a staple, don't regret paying the $$ for it.

i paid 38 dollars on curly pudding, it was okay, but not worth that much money. especially since you have to use it with another product to get moisture! but being that disappointed in a product that cost so damn much, tamed my pj ways!

I used to buy alterna's caviar reconstructor all the time. That's like £25 for about 12 (or is it 16) oz. I think thats about $45. It's a god conditioner, it left my hair reeeeeally soft. Not much of a reconstructor tho

I paid $26 for Kenra moisturizing conditioner-it was okay, nothing to rave about.
My recent purchases are
BBD stretch-sample size, BBD butter-$19, BBD shampoo-$18- I haven't gotten them yet but I *pray* that they do a good, no great job.

I still have some more expensive products that I'd like to try, like KeraCare Humecto in the Tub.

I'm wondering what the responses will be for this too. It seems now a days, people on here don't mind dishing out $50 for a single hair product that you have to order and can't even get in the stores (referring to BBD and Miss Jessie's stuff). The most I have ever spent on a product was $25 for Aveda's serum. It was good stuff. I rarely use this because it is so expensive for a little amount.

I really want to try Miss Jessie's products or the BBD, but $50?!? I love muh hair but damn, that's a bill that could be paid right there!

Humecto in the tub... thirty some odd dolalrs... Pretty close to 40 if I remember correctly.... Worth every dang penny!

I spent money on Miss Jessie's Baby Buttercream--CP and CM....with shipping and handling--I love the Buttercream, but I hardly use it now since my hair doesn't feel dry. I haven't used CP or CM in awhile b.c I'm trying to get rid of other products. Were they worth it? Well, I'm more likely to get several days worth of style than with other products...will I buy again--no, but the products do last a long time. I ordered them in September and still have most of the products left.

I also splurged on KCCC. Almost finished with it--will order again one day.

But I do prefer not to pay $$ for hair products.

The Curly Pudding was my most expensive purchase and it was not worth it. BUT I think it cured me of any trace of PJism, cuz I haven't bought anything over $16 since then.

I only use natural products but I am very watchful of my purse strings and like to get value for money.

I voted $19-$26 as the most expensive product I purchase is Organic Virgin Coconut Oil which costs about £11 per tub. I mainly use this for my monthly hot-oil treatment and one tub has lasted me for about 9 months. Although I am going to start doing my hot-oil treatments twice a month.

My other main products costs less than £9. Anita Grant's whipped butter has lasted me for over 4 months and I use it every day. Aubrey Organics GBP which I use monthly lasts for about 4 or 5 months.

In real terms, the Rhassoul Condish from Anita Grant is probably the most expensive product that I use as they cost just £11 for 3 hearts and l use one a month.

Overall I do not spend that much on my hair products. I use JASON Sea Kelp shampoo & conditioner which costs about £6 and I make my own braid spray with water, glycerine and essential oils.

I spend $16 on several hair products. That's really my limit for a regular-sized product. I refuse to pay more than that for a small bottle of something. As much as I'd love to try Miss Jessie's products, I can't bare to spend that much money and either like the product or hate it!

Although I voted in the $12-18 range, I just remembered that I ordered the Phyto 9 Nourishing Cream from Sephora.com for $26. That's probably the most I'll spend on something.

*Or maybe I'll splurge again by trying the Aveda DR Intensive treatment--I wanna try it so bad! :)

I'm Using Phytologie Products Right Now.I've Also Used Rene Furterer. The Prices On Both Of Those Products Are  But They Are Worth EVERY penny:D

BBD stretch...45.00 ..definitately worth it, but after being able to get it at a lower price for a while at irby's I havent repurchased. It hurts to pay more...lol..

myhoneychild's buttery soy cream...30 bucks...I LOVE this stuff. I use it to lay my hair flat as I dont use the elasta mango butter anymore. I can also use it for twists if I dont use too much.

Biolage detangling solution...I forget how much this was originally for the 32 oz bottle. I had purchased it on sale. Saved my hair during my transition as I had been unable to find the BBD stretch locally or online.

Those are the most expensive products I remember purchasing in the past year or so.

I bought some Kerastase products that were awful on my hair. Total waste of money.

I agree Kerastase is a total scam. Every last one of their products have some of the same ingredients to the drugstore Loreal or Loreal mega therapy found at sally's. I would advise NO one to buy their stuff.

Dudley DRC is the most expensive product I have to buy and it is worth the 50 bucks price tag.
I love all the BBD products and never had to pay full price I get these half price.
Keracare Humecto in the tub is worth the dollars and I get half price but would pay the dollars if I had too.
I have Jane Carter and Alter Ego products on my wish list.

i paid 45.99 for dudley's drc. and that was before i came to this board. i don't think i would spend that kind of money again unless it was an all natural product that i couldn't make myself.

and i spent some good money on human hair. never again.

well maybe not never....

I paid $45 bucks for a bottle of Dudley's DRC-28. It's worth it to me and it lasts for quite a while.

How do you get these goodies for half-price?! :D

From what I can remember, my most expensive purchase was Rene Furterer - Karite Nourishing Conditioning Cream. I think it was about $34 bucks for a small tube. Pricey, but I must admit, that conditioner moisturizes like a mutha! It is one conditioner where you really really do not need to put a lot in your hair. A Little really does go far.

I may get it again one day. When I have the money, I will pay if I think it is worth it. That is WHEN I have the money!

$12 is the most I'd pay for a hair product even though I'm about to spend more than that on 5lbs of unrefined shea butter.

I have paid a pretty penny for Rene Furterer conditioner
Rene Furterer Karite Nourishing conditioning cream 3.4oz
$22.00

it was nothing special, as a matter of fact I have lost in somewhere in the house. I also bought one of the treatments

Essential treatment 1.69oz
$36.00

Complexe 5 Regenerating Concentrate with stimulating essential oils works to deep-cleanse, tone and prepare the scalp by activating its micro-circulation.
Complexe 5
I took it back, it was making my hair fall out after just one treatment.

I also bought a flat iron for $199.00 but took it back, it wasn't better than my maxiglide!

I've definitely spent over $30 for a hair product. I've tried the Renee Furterer and the Ojon Hair Restorative Treatment (cost is $55 but I had a gift card to Sephora so it cost me less). Ojon was totally not worth it at all and I would have been highly pissed if I had purchased it for full price; the RF is good not great. I've also used the Miss Jessie products before they went up in the price which I loved but have found cheaper replacements for both. At this point my goal is not to spend over $25 for a product unless I'm buying in bulk.
