Super Healthy Ends Challenge 2010!

Checking in...oils and butters on my ends daily and I've been bunning out of laziness. I love how soft my ends are, though!

Checking in: I've been half wigging it and keeping my hair in cornrow under. My ends are doing great. I flat ironed my hair for the first time since Dec. 2009 and they look good since my trim. I'm happy about that. I'm going to do a dusting in about a week to keep them healthy.

Hello Ladies,
Joining challenge. Trying to make APL this year. So have been taking my vitamins, protective styling, ocassional baggying. Challenge will remind me to baby those ends.

Checking in: Using my Mecitefendi saç bakım yağı ( a Turkish brand of hair care oil) nightly on my ends and cross wrapping.

Girl, you dug deep into your bag of tricks for this one. What is it? And how'd you find it? And, how's it working? TIA.

Checking in: still moisturizing and sealing my ends daily. Last Thursday, I got a touch up and my stylist dusted my ends for me.

Checking in: Decide to try sweet almond butter on my ends...and my hair loves it!!! :yep: Will probably do a dusting towards the end of the month.

Checking in: My ends are soft and supple. I stay moisturizing and sealing. I have to trim, but it's not going to really take off length. It's grown a few inches!!

I did a S&D last night and M&S used Silken Child and Amla oil. Today I used Silken Child and Hot Six, and added a baggy on for tonight.

Just dried my hair on cool setting to check my ends. Wow! My ends are FABULOUS!!! I'm so happy. They've been baggied since this year started, and I started with a fresh cut. They look as good, if not better, than day one!

Glad everyone's hair is doing so well. No complaints. I think i found a lil ps/moisturizing routine and its working pretty well for me. It has grown, still have lots to overcome but its coming along!

checking in! My ends are in the best condition they've been in a while (over a long period of time). I got a touch up friday and dusted my ends myself. My last trim was 5 months ago and I'm ecstatic that my ends are still in great shape. I've been consistently wearing my hair pinned up or in a bun and moisturizing and sealing.

Oh my gosh! I haven't checked in in MONTHS! So sorry. I big chopped two weeks ago, so I have fresh ends that I don't intend on having to trim for about a year. I have been consistently moisturizing, sealing, bunning, and baggying nightly. My ends looks pretty good before I big chopped, and now I have new ends to baby and take care of.

I'm having the same problem. Last Saturday I got a good trim, but I'm still getting these darn knots!:wallbash: I've been baggying for the past couple of nights. I'll probably pin my twists up today to try to keep the moisture on the ends after I remove the baggy.

Hi Ms_ CoCo37, I am still having issues with this and I even put braids in for a couple of weeks. How did the pinning it up work for you?

idk if this will help u guys but i realized a loong time ago that i get lots of knots from wearing my hair out in braid outs and twist outs. So i stopped doing them. I also noticed that I don't get knots with bantu knot outs. I think the difference is that with bantu knot outs, everynight i redo the knots and apply moisturizer and sealant.

So this entire week my hair has been in a braid out but i used the same general principal of rewetting, moisturizing and sealing and i have not encountered ANY knots. hth

Thanks for the suggestion, I was actually co- washing and twisting my hair each night and sealing the ends and then in the morning I would rinse it out and pull it back into a mini-bun. But still knots, then two weeks ago I got my hair cornrolled. I took the braids out this past Monday and it was very dry and had a lot of knots. So I gave myself a deep protien condish, and it felt better, I moisturized and sealed. I still had the knots when I got knew cornrolls yesterday.

Checking in, ladies! My ends are benefiting so much from this challenge! I've recently weaved it up, so I won't be taking my hair down until June, but I'm definitely happy I put into practice taking care of my ends.

Checking in: I haven't posted in a while, but I've been maintaining. I moisturize, spritz and seal nightly. My ends are healthy overall but needs to be dusted. I'm waiting until I relax. I'm now 27 weeks post.

Haven't checked in for quite some time. I'm still bunning, baggying, moisturizing, and sealing. Don't plan on straightening until December so I hope my ends are doing well!
