Checking in: I'm still rocking my yarn braids moisturizing daily to every other day and spraying with Chi Keratin mist. I keep them in a satin cap during the day when I'm lounging and when I sleep.
I haven't checked in for a while, but I've been sporting twists for the past three weeks. I've been sealing my ends with curl activator to see if that helps with keeping them moist. So far so good!
Just checking in...I have been bunning, whole head baggying and using Elasta QP Mango Butter on ends sealed with coconut oil....giving in on week 14 of 16 week attempted relaxer stretch will dust afterwards
I've been bunning, braiding, and rocking braidouts for a while, while moisturizing and sealing with HE LTR or NTM Leave-In, plus castor oil and/or coconut oil!! I'm still dc'ing once a week (but I'll push that to twice a week once I hit six weeks post).
Checking in as well. I trimmed about an inch and a half in December and I'm trying to go this entire year without a trim. I've been cowashing, moisturizing, sealing, and baggying. I plan on blow drying twice this year and not using the flat iron. My ends look good thus far.
I saw some breakage today when i took out my braids. Not much, just about 10 pieces. But I just realized - I only noticed this because I hardly ever get breakage anymore! I used to have tons of hair in the bathroom before my HHJ.
I detangled with Suave Naturals, shampooed with Dr Bronner's castile soap, did a protein treatment with Aphogee 2-step, and am DCing now with AOWC. My hair felt good after the protein, so I only hope it dries that way as well.
In light of my recent breakage, I am going to start bunning . I hate bunning, which is why i never do it. But, I am trying to make BSL in July and MBL in December so I need to go hard. That means no breakage allowed.
I'll be bunning Sunday through Friday and wearing my hair out on Saturdays (my party day).
Hair Regimen
Prepoo overnight before shampooing
Shampoo every 2 weeks
Deep condition every 2 weeks
Protein once per month BT as directed or every other day Spritz, moisturize and seal ends nightly Dust/trim as needed Silk scarf/silk pillow case
I'm washing every 2 weeks, because I'm 17 weeks post. Low manipulation is best for me while stretching. However, if I experience any build up then I'll wash at least once per week.
Haven't been checkin PC is out of order. But I have been in braids for the last month and a half. But I have been taking care to make sure to moisterize and seal my hair while in braids.
Had a Dominican Blowout for an interview 2 weeks ago, so I have been moisturizing the heck out of my hair and especially the ends and co-washing a lot more too. My ends feel pretty nice.
Checking in. DC hair then apply AOHC on twist had an extra thick creamy hand lotion (A Yes to Carrots product) to my ends. It's actually for your hands but I decided to use it on my ends because it made my hands feel really silky and it has alot of good natural stuff in it. So far so good!
Checking in: I have been moisturizing and sealing my ends daily or every other day depending on the weather. A couple of weeks ago, I got a much needed trim and my ends are holding up nicely.
