Super Healthy Ends Challenge 2010!

LOL that may be the case, or it may be because I just braid slow LOL.
See now you just dont wanna braid my hair. And I thought you was here to help me make APL and BSL this year LOL:lachen:. See what LHCF friends get you......

On another note, I decided to switch it up and spray my hair/braids with Infusium 23 instead of doing the moisture thing today.

LOL, you know you are wrong for that. :lachen: You know I would braid your hair for you.

Today is my wash day, I will moisturize and seal with Silken Child and Hot Six Oil once I am done with everything.

What are good products to seal the ends? During this time of year I notice a lot of hair on my back due to breakage I think, but it is only this time of year..I just did a mayo prepoo last week but this did not help much..I would like to get in this challenge (i know it is late) but I have to do something with these ends..Thinking about a conditioner wash tonight and bun it tomorrow..Relaxer this weekend, please help

I am a natural hair lady, but I co wash often about 3-5 times a week, and I use NTM silk touch leave in on my ends and then seal with a mix of coconut oil and castor oil. It seams to work pretty well so far. Although I am sure there are more seasoned ladies on LHCF who can answer better. I don't know that might be too heavy or greasy for relaxed hair, but if your bunning it probably would be good. HTH

Still rocking my yarn braids. I washed and dc'd them last night an almost ended up with a neck injury. These things get really heavy when wet. When they finally dry I will go back to spritzing daily with my mixture of water and V05.

I twisted my hair on Sunday evening and left them alone until this afternoon when I untwisted, applied Shea Amla Butter Cream, re-twisted and applied lavender JBCO to the scalp and ends.

i've been wearing twistouts and braidouts since the new year. i moisturize with LTR & seal with evco and shea. i started using more to seal and it is great. my hair has never been so soft :). i want to try TW protective mist bodifier next.

I've recently started using Mizani night time treatment, so far I really like it. I've already noticed less breakage!!! Yeaaaa, thanks Taz!

I moisturized with HS 14 in 1, sealing with Hot Six Oil.
I cant wait until I am done with this HS....

I moisturized my ends with V05 Moisture Milk (Strawberries and Cream) and sealed with Castor Oil. I've had my twists in for 15 days and want to make it to at least 21 days. This is the longest I have ever left them in. I've been trying to do no manipulation except on co-wash/twist day.

I'm gonna try the 3-strand twists next time. Also, I think that when I get to the bottom of each twist I need to twirl it around my finger rather than twisting to the very bottom. I think that would be better for my ends.

I apologize ladies, I have some free time today so I'll update as much of the list as I possibly can. Thanks for participating!

Just checking in. I've been treating my ends delicately and moisturizing and sealing them out of habit. I feel weird and bad if I don't do it at least once a day. I have switched from the water and cantu shea butter to an ayurvedic tea spritz mixed with V05 conditioner and I'm now sealing with a mix of coconut and amla oil instead of unrefined shea butter. Switching to ayurvedic teas and oils have made my ends extremely soft and moisturized, especially when I baggy my ends at night.

I'm joining for at least the first session. I've never taken proper care of my ends, so I hope I'll learn how through this challenge. Off to search the forum for some help!

I want in I am already do it and I want in for the whole 12 months

I think the last SHE challenge helped a lot of ladies to stay motivated. I will start this challenge early so we can get all the members in and begin on January 1st. The challenge will have two sessions. Jan 1---June 1 and June 1---December 31.

Hey Ladies, I read countless pages of threads and I didn't see a challenge completely dedicated to your ends (If there is one, please let me know) because I know sometimes we (including myself) tend to forget our ends a little. I noticed when I stopped combing my ends so much and only dusted and cut out heat almost entirely, my end became full and blunt and virtually split end free. So I was wondering if any of ya'll would be interested in a challenge for the ends? It will last a total of 12 months (or six each session) and I think it'll benefit us all?!

Rules

Baby your ends (Moisturize and seal WHENEVER they feel dry)
Low Manipulation (Try not to comb them too much, but do what works)
Limit the heat (This may not be the case for everyone, do what works)
Protect them (Especially if you're at a vulnerable length)

Duration

Jan 1-December 31 2010
No Picture required if you don't want to, just checking in>>>>>>
(1x monthly or more)

Thanks Ladies!

Please state what session you'll participate in or if you'll do both. :yep:
