Pre-poo w/ a mixture of HI PRO PAC Intensive Treatment, VO5 Moisture Milk, Giovanni Triple Treat, coconut oil, and pepeppermint oil.

Pre-pooing for 45 minutes tonight.
Made a pre-poo of:

A mixture of: OV, Canola and Grapeseed (I cook with it, its a blended oil), a bit argan oil, a bit of coconut oil, burts bee's be güd conditioner and a bit of unsweetened almond milk.

We will see how this goes. Hopefully this will work as a light protein treatment before I do my DC. Going to shampoo my hair with Blousey from LUSH and do a 3-4 hour DC with One N Only Hydrating Masque. Then going to flat twist and seal and go under a wig until I can reinstall braids.

I added some garlic and cayenne pepper infused EVOO to my Hair Trigger oil to kick it a few notches. Already added peppermint EO. Im prepooing now under a plastic cap, bonnet and skullie

Does anyone ever have problems washing all of the oil out of their hair? I normally pre poo and wash my hair every other day with a shampoo bar and my scalp is always extremely oily after it dries. I'm afraid that any leftover oil on my scalp will eventually go rancid on my scalp. I don't even use conditioner so I know for a fact that it is the oil making my hair so disgusting and greasy. I only use a few tablespoons of oil. How much oil are you guys using and exactly how much hair are you working with?

I would like to join I only pre poo once and I'm not sure if I'm crazy but I promise my hair had a little more shine and little less shrinkage?!? Whoa.
I also feel like a set back is about to happen because I'm having extreme shedding and tangling from the root! I'm desperate right now.

2. Answer the following questions to join:

a) Current Hair Length: APL
b) Relaxed/Texlaxed/Natural/Transitioning: Transitioning from SEVERE heat damage
c) Pre-poo Process/Products: HOT using Sesame oil
d) End-of-Year Goal Length: BSL
e) Pre-poo Frequency? (1/week, 2/month, etc): Once a week
e) Most Recent Length Check Pic
It's from March but its my most recent
3. Post your process each pre-poo session.

From each other we can learn techniques, processes and, my favorite, products!!!

Is it better to prepoo shampoo then deep condition your hair? Or do you see better results by mixing prepoo with deep conditioner and then shampooing?

I never have this prob and I use a LOT of oil, lol. Maybe its the type of oil. With JBCO or Hair Trigger or garlic oil I HAVE to use a sulfate poo. Also, the conditioner helps to cleans and sop up some of the oil too. I wash once with a sulfate then second with whatever else I like.

Gonna pre-poo all day today with a ton of peanut and coconut oils. Forgot to pre-poo last wash a few days ago and my hair is dry dry dry! :ohwell: Before bed, I'll cowash and DC.

Never will I forget this important step again!

First ever 'Hair Smoothie' pre-treat

Busted out my NutriBullet for this one ya'll, lol! I've been itching to try an Avocado treatment as a pre-poo. But I always end up eating the avocado haha. So, my concoction includes:
-1 avocado
-1 tbsp Amla
-2 tbsp rhassoul clay
-4 tbsp coconut milk
-generous squirt of honey
-generous squirt castor oil
-1 cup hot water

That looks delish! How was it TeeBee?

I'd like to join this challenge. I've been using coconut oil and will probably continue to use only that. It always makes my hair so soft. I haven't done it over night yet. I'm going to try. It just means planning my detangling session a day early (`-_-)

Killahkurlz... :welcome2: (I'm super late). If you'd like to join, answer the questions in the first post. :yep:

Sidebar: Coconut oil is amazing for pre-poo'ing!

narsinthemorning I don't have that greasy feeling after I poo; conversely, I'm not pre-poo'ing as often as you are. Chelating more often may help to combat this issue. HTH

Prepoo is anything you want it to be. It's a pre-shampoo treatment. Be it conditioner, oil, honey, yogurt, avocado, etc. When you say "mixing prepoo" what does prepoo mean to you? It is a certain mix of things? an oil?

This was actually my first time trying the rhassoul!! I freakin loved it! I want to try cleansing my hair with it next week. Naptural85 has a recipe on tha Tube. I only used the 2 tbsp, you really don't need a lot.

GIRRRL, my hair was BUTTAH!! Curls poppin, everythang. I didn't get a chance to take a pic, I'll remember next week for sure, because I so want to do this again. The softness was so stupid, I didn't chance it with my normal cleanser, I just cowashed with Tresemme.
