"OMG, what are you doing?!!!!!!" My BC thread (pic heavy)

Those were the words that came out of my mom's mouth when she caught me mid-BC lol.

I transitioned for 13 months and decided to BC because I was frustrated with the tangles caused by the difference in the two textures. The back of my head had BCed itself anyway so I said "Why not?"

I slathered some condish on my hair, two strand twisted, and went to snipping.

I started with this:

Washed and went to this:

And ended up with this:

I’ve enjoyed trying out new styles since I BCed.

The above twists resulted in this twist out:

In April, I tried it again and it came out better:

Tried a wash and go with Ecostyler gel (shingling method):

First puff:

Tried some mini twists:

Tried Kinky Curly Queens mini braids and loved them:

I washed them and refreshed them with ecostyler:

In June, I removed the mini twists and was surprised with this:

I was finally able to put my hair into chunky twists after detangling without them unraveling:

I tried a three-strand twist out with a braid design on the side:

And I managed to do my favorite two strand twist out to date:

Oh and I tried to see if I could get “Rudy” hair lol:

It usually takes 4 hours. It takes longer if I'm being lazy (like 3 days ).
