ok women confess! is this U in the video?!

And oh yeah....those comments that were left on her video :nono: I hope none of us made them. If so, how would we feel if someone made those kinds of comments on our pics or vids? But I KNOW none of use were acting up like that.

I was a good girl :yep::yep: lol I left a comment but is was nice! I'm a lover not a hater! lol

Her hair does not look bad. People really need to stop tripping. Give her a break, SOME of the members on here might actually learn a thing or 2 from her.

Her hair looks nice. She was kinda ruff with the comb though:lachen:But not everybodys hair is going to thrive off of the same practices. Most of the ppl who left those negative comments are most likely jealous of her hair:nono:

I have to say that what we call healthy is not always the best for everyone. It is obvious that this girl has been practicing these methods for quite some time. Her hair looks to be somewhat healthy and is thriving with her methods. The only thing I can say is she is manipulating a little too much. I commend her for caring about her hair at such a young age. She has better length than many young girls I see walking around. There is no reason to blast the poor girl. We can educate her on better techniques. I say if it is working for her than its all good.

It's really sad.
Why did the person who started this thread feel the need to.
Some of you ladies have made a poor representation of LHCF. If I were her I wouldn't want to step foot towards this site. We need to be uplifting others, instead of tearing each other down. Our hair is no better than hers and just because she uses a different method, does not give you the right to put her down. Yes, I am saying it.

Shame on you ladies who have placed horrible comments about her video........It is just plain ignorant.:nono:

The girl has lovely hair and it looks really healthy. I think that if she continues to retouch every 6-8wks she is at risk of getting scab hair! How many ladies on this board had lovely thick hair when they were younger, but now can't gain any length or thickness? She really needs to reassess her routine to avoid future problems.

As with the video as sisters we should be helping each other rather than being so negative of one another! We are none of us perfect and with our experiences we should be sharing and caring.

How some people get by with certain methods and products is beyond me. Like the pink moisturizer? Hmm... :ohwell:

It wasnt only the excessive use of grease, she rubbed her strands together vigorously and also stated that we needed grease when our hair is dry. Helping people is good but when you're giving out advice thats ... :perplexed , thats not cool because others will really follow it and damage their hair too.

:nono:She does have a lot to learn, but some of the comments were more nasty than constructive. If someone posted a nasty comment on my video, then told me to check out LHCF, I wouldn't b/c I would think it was full of nasty judgemental women. :ohwell:

But everyone has the choice to follow that advice or not. If they could do a search on youtube for "hair care" or whatever and watch that video, they can easily do a google search for the same and find LHCF.

And I read through her comments. In her replies she told people she wasn't a professional but it works for her. It's up to everyone else to decide if it's for them or not.

OK OK OK it looks like apologies and clarification is in order. :drunk:

I wasn't going to say brutal things about her hair because it looks fine. I was going to criticize her methods. especially since she was greasing her scalp and combing (i thought) far too much.

sorry if I offended anyone. :perplexed

I dont think anyone was directing the comments towards you per se, jut the comments on her video. At least I was.

interesting comments on the site. the woman's hair looked healthy to me and it didn't look thin in a damaged way. after all, there are women right here on lhcf with thin hair. not everyone has thick hair so this proves nothing about this woman's hair health. finally, some women on lhcf use grease and have admitted to that.

people should use what works for them; it would stop some of the excessive bandwagon jumping and confusion over regimens. all of the "google lhcf" etc style comments seem snobbish to me. i doubt these people have a genuine concern vested in this woman's hair.

Well GeezLoueez the chick's hair is longer than mine!

Back to her regimen...here are some helpful tips she did touch on.
1st - The Yellow UltraSheen is actually the satin creme press :lachen: which is an old school heat protector/pressing creme. I have some under the sink (PJ episode) and I like it better than that Dudleys' stuff, both of which are hard "greases". I never thought about adding an oil to it and Kemi Oyl is actually some pretty good stuff. The creme press works for her with her blowdrying and I'm sure its a regimen that was passed down to her from her big mama or the like. I'm not certain but I don't think she uses the yellow stuff daily.

2nd - I belive in not doubling up on the heat appliances. She said the blowdryer was all that she used. I've been hearing it alot lately that you shouldn't blowdry then flatiron relaxed hair because of the chemicals and the fragile state of relaxed hair. Do one or the other but never both. I think she tried to mention this when she was talking about chemicals and what not in the first video.

3rd - She showed a great alternative to wrapping the hair at night. Especially for us with the "one side is thicker than the other due to wrapping issue"

4th - Ya'll already know about that jilebre shower comb :yay:

5th - In some of her other videos, she's protecting her hair in a bun or pony or something.

Those were the things that I can remember from her video that I think were good recommendations and it definitely works for her. Like I said - chick's hair is longer than mine! I'm sooo Jealous!

dang, some people were brutal. if i didn't know any better, i'd think the girl walked up to whoever made those mean posts and said "my hair's better than yours!" then kicked you in the shin and ran off.

:nono: let's play nice ok?

Google didnt get me to LHCF, word of mouth did. True everyone has a choice but misleading people is uh..

BUT if her methods are working, can you really say shes misleading people?

Everything doesnt work for everybody. People have to use their on discretion when getting advise from people. Shoot, some methods preached about on here did nothing for me but I dont think I have been mislead.

Many members on here use grease successfully. Granted, she uses far too much, and doesn't have the greatest hair regimen, but her hair looks ok.

Also, many of us were ignorant about taking care of our hair before coming to this site, and believed grease was a moisturiser because we didn't know any better. Why not just send her a link to this site, or give her come advice on Youtube, rather than subject her to judgement and criticism?

Amen to that! :yep: That was me preLHCF. But I definitely didn't use as much as her.

I thought some of the comments that were left were down right rude and uncalled for. We all have a right to agree/disagree with her methods, but what ever happened to constructive criticism like ladylibra said?

whats with all this blasting on ladies hair here ......

post a msg for her on her video and give her some good advice

here she is doing -what she intends- to be a helpful informative video for ladies-and she is getting blasted-for using grease?

we all been there done that....come on now

lift our sistah's up!

I agree. She needs advice.

EXACTLY!!! Who ever said that one way is the ONLY way??? Haven't we learned that here if nothing else?

Yeah I know some of us did it. It just makes me wonder. How fake are we on here really? We talk abut helping each other out, giving encouragement, giving hair advise, blah blah blah. Now situations like this flare up and then we show out. Instead of actually HELPING the girl, we come out like we aint NEVA done any of this stuff before LHCF ourselves. We have now ascended into hair heaven and we can now bash anyone who doesnt do things our way into hell. Its a dayum shame if you ask me. :nono:

You bring up a very good point.

So disappointing to see the childish insults left for this 'child' she is only 20! geesh friggin louise!

Agreed ... if you look at her other videos (specifically the 5 things about me video) she actually wants to grow her hair to butt length.

Not everything works for everyone, I certainly could not do the grease thing but some people on here do and it works wonderfully for them.

If you all check out her 20 questions video, her hair is beautiful and with movement. I really don't think it looks bad. Not everyone's hair is full and lush no matter how much babying they do to it.

I have thick skin and can take those comments much better than the next person. I just hope those comments don't shatter her feelings towards her hair. :ohwell:

Wow. I can't believe some of our LHCF sistas would leave nasty comments like that. Instead of tearing her down, they could have left some tips to help her out. I applaud her for sharing information so I left a nice comment.

yeah I saw all her videos and she really seems sweet! probably just bored in her dorm doing videos. Trying to be helpful in her own way to someone

Then she gets BASHED! shame shame.....for shame

I cant say they're not working for her but I seriously dont think something like rubbing your hair together like that is HEALTHY.

I just hope she finds this site. Thats all.
