I left her a comment to come and visit the site. Yall please dun talk about her. She knowsno betta and what is she saw this thread. I was lookin a her other videos and she has insecurities much like me. She stated she's stubborn (so she prolly won't need our advice lol) and insecure about what others say to her...I just wouldn't want her to be upset about this thread

I used to do my hair just like this when I relaxed... i had a friend who took me under her wing because she felt sorry for me(tragic story of the kid with the white mama who can't do her hair... now i no that's no excuse!)... and she taught me to greeze my scalp and wrap my hair... and gel my baby hair!
well my hair broke of to scraggly APL... and i cut it to CBL/SL and it was STUCK for yrs... till i went natural...
anywho my point is... my girlfriend who taught me all this still has "long" hair(it's only between APL and BSL but that's long in the real world) but it clearly didn't work for me... so it does suck that she's giving poor advice to other women but everyone's hair is different and it's workin for her... no one should follow anyone else's reggie perfectly... wut works for my natural 3c hair may not work for your natural 3c hair even if we are "twins"
but even though this is workin for her to retain length it is a pet hair peeve of mine to see greezy *ss hair that won't even move! but it's her hair!

I saw that too (update). I like the pic when her hair is wet. She obviously doesn't get it relaxed dead straight.She has nice length in her update video. Guess she's doing something right

Her hair is nice! I can see a really tiny trim is in order but other than that it looks nice and long andhealthy

GOOD POINT! Its easy to critize other peoples hair than to try to help them but I think that comes from the many times you attempt to give HAIR HELP and the person doesn't want to hear it.
my problem with this video is the advice she is giving to others
I get what you're saying, but not to the point where one needs to say brutal things about another's hair. Many of us here came to this forum with hair that didn't look as healthy or as long as hers, and yet we thought our practices were fine because we didn't know better. There are many veteran members on here who also subscribe to what are generally considered 'unhealthy' hair practices i.e. cones, weekly heat, washing every 3-4 weeks, grease etc. yet their hair is thriving.
Something is working for her, and all she perhaps needs is a bit of advice to improve her regimen somewhat. What works for one doesn't necessarily work for another. If the OP is willing to be less 'brutal' should the girl on YouTube be a LHCF member, why not extend the same charity to the girl rather than post her video on here for ridicule?
Her hair looks nice and it might work for her. Why beat her down for using grease? Some of us here use it. I just think that we do overkill by discouraging some of these peoples hair care habits. Some of the comments we leave on there are not necessary and more than likely close their ears to anything else we want to say to them here.

lol, I thought the same thing too. I never knew what a shower comb was until hair boards.
It's possible that she's lurked on hair boards before but hasn't picked up on all the techniques/products. She said she only uses the blow dryer but not straighten or curling irons because it's too much heat.

Her hair is pretty. I don't think she needs a relaxer, maybe a few tips to soften her new growth. (She frowned a few times when she was parting her hair). If grease works for her, then I say "To each his own". My hair has improved since I stopped using grease. I can't say anything bad, her hair looks better than mine.

My bff is like that. Her hair is so kinky and course that no matter what terrible things she does it it, its still thick long and gorgeous. I mean, about as thick as Dysilla's hair. But, her cousin is a stylist and she gets her hair done every week for free.

Ole girl must be doing something right b/c her hair is broaching APL and it looks great. It doesnt appear to be snapping off or anything even with al the "man-handling." If it works for her I cant and wont knock her hustle. I will say though, that if she did things a little different her hair would be longer than 75% of the women on here, myself included. Yeah. I said it!

Yeah I read those and I have a sneaking suspicion that some were left by ladies of LHCF(maybe I'm wrong), because as soon as this post came out (this morning), these comments weren't there. Now, the girl is bombarded with a whole bunch of unnecessary negative comments
.I still don't really see what all the fuss is about...she is taking care of her hair the best way she knows how and her hair looks absolutely fine to me...It ain't jacked up or anything. It looks healthy and she has retained length.
Anyway...movin' on.
