I know I just need a double dose of patience, but it seems like my hair is at a standstill. And it doesn't helo that I don't have any comparison pictures from last year b/c I never took any I just feel like screaming at my hair Grow **** GROW!!!
How are you guys doing so far?

blueabyss333 said:Hang in there Breezy. I'm sure you hair is growing and you just don't realize it. Start taking pics because that's what will help you visualize your progress and help you to keep doing the right things. Trust me, I hadn't realized how much my hair grew until I took update pics. Even if you don't post them up for us, take them for yourself. Your hardwork will pay off.

breezy said:Thanks...I'm bunning every day, deep conditioning once a week, and moisturizing, I think supplements are the only thing I don't do b/c it seems like they'd be costly for me and I'd hate to spend the money w/o knowing if they'd work for me. But thanks for helping me out of my funk.
determined_to_grow said:I think I joined this challenge. I am really sorry guys but I have to vent. I am really trying to make APL by the end of this year but I don't know - this is a struggle. I don't think my hair is growing anymore- is it possible for your hair to stop growing because that is how I feel right now. I have increased in the exercise, sleep, vitamins, moisturizing, stretching and decreased in the heat area and nothing. I am 8 weeks post and my hair probably grew a 1/2 of a cm. I am so discouraged and upset. . And to make matters worse I have so many layers in my head that my hair looks so thin and whack.

I am about 2" away from APL in the front and and 1-1.5" away in back...(though if blown out could be longer)I'm just getting back into MTG(3-4x per week) and bi-weekly protein and Moisture treatments. I want 2.5-3" by December so that I can dust off about a half inch to an inch...
I'm on a personal MTG challenge for the month of OCT- growth spurt month....APL-here I come
tsmith said:Don't cry...it's going to be okay(((hugs)))...wait til you get your touch up and see what's going on...you might not think it's growing BUT it is and I don't see your name on this list so I'm adding it and I will be keeping my eye on you.
*mental note to self...keep eye on determined*

determined_to_grow said:Thank you Tsmith... I'm really emotional right now . It just seems like it stopped growing, but it another way now that I am actually trying to take care of my hair and nurse it back to the condition it once was (never past APL)- it's just like "Nahh- it's not going down like that".
thank you for your kind words hopefully when I get a touch up I will see a difference. I guess I just need to have patience .
O/t: thanks for the add (why do i feel like i'm on myspace)

I shampoo and deep condition twice a week and try to co wash 1-2 times also since my hair seems to like it. I've been wearing protective styles and just recently started baggying which works great. Also I've found out which products work well and made up a great moisturizer/ leave in concoction that gives me slip and isn't too greasy. ( if you 're curious it's equal parts Sunsilk Hydra TLC leave in and Cantu Breakcure and a little S-curl, it's awesome).
Things for the near future: I look forward to wearing dred extensions, but they're so expensive. Also I want to start taking supplements, Flaxseed Oil, Nioxin, and Biotin. And basically sticking with a regimen.
