Just checking in...

I'm not sure I'm going to make it by June...we'll see. I'm keeping after it though, my hair is healthier than it's ever been so I'll retain a lot of length this year.

I shall receive...if I faint not! :lol:

sigh, my hair has been breaking lately. I have had to trim every other week. I'm still going for it though. I've been really good with my vitamins and I just need to condition more and use direct heat less.
 
I don't think I'll make it but I'm staying in anyway!!

I cut my hair a few weeks ago but I'm going to try to keep my current hairstyle in for a month and retouch spots as needed.
 
I know it's late but I'm in, I've been in unofficially but I'm making it official!!!!! I will take my vitamins. I'll wear twists for three weeks and twistsout for a week, and wash weekly and shake and go when I don't feel like twisting, so basically low manipulation. APL by June 07 here I come!!!!
 
I'm hella late but I want in ! :trampolin

Here's what I do:
Shampoo 2x week
Moisturize daily with Vitika Oil or WGO
Henna/Indigo every 2 weeks
Take Hair & Nails vitamin everyday
Roller sets only

I'm in!!! I'm only 1 inch from armpit and every day I'm checking...it is there yet...is it there yet.

To achieve my challenge I am
Washing once a week
Rollersetting wearing hair down for 1-2 days then bunning like nobody's business
Dab of conditioner with EVOO each morning and night
No trims
No stylist

Whenever my hair starts breaking like crazy I use Candy_C's avocado mix

HASS avocado mixed with one egg, 1/2 cup of EVOO and water. I let it sit on my hair overnight and Voile instant gorgeous hair with no shedding might I add. Give it a try
 
I dunno if I'll make it yall. I'm hanging in there though. It's such sloooooooow going (and growing). lol I can almost hear my mom say "A watched pot NEVER boils" :lol:
 
I'm about 1" to 1.5" away now. I wouldn't be suprised if some of my hair (the center and right side) is there already. I can't wait until it's all APL so that I can trim it to even it out.
 
I will not make it to APL this June. Unfortunatly, I have been pretty bad with trimming my hair. I'm trying to focus on thickness but I think I'm getting obsessed. I haven't trimmed in 1.5 months so that's new for me!!! I've seen good growth since I've put the scissors away. I am shooting for later this year hopefully around October?! I am about 2.5 inches away.

I didn't make it, I've kind of have been doing the 'trim till your hair is even' challenge without knowing it.:ohwell:

I'm satisfied with my results though. It's shoulder length and still thin, but fuller than it's been in a while. Can't complain.
 
I was thinking the "reveal" would be June 1....I just realized that I have until June 30th. That makes it a full 6 months from Jan 1! I don't think I'll make armpit, but I should be a bit closer. I'm excited about having the extra time and I don't feel so bad about my progress (or lack thereof).:)

I was thinking the same thing for some reason.... I'm glad because it means I can keep my sew-in a lil bit longer :lol:
 
Hi Ladies. I haven't been posting much but I was trying my best to stay on the challenge.I didn't make it. I have huge breakage and shedding due to new meds for my high blood pressure. I'm off the challenge.
 
...Not where I'd hope I'd be....and the last stretch I had was not a good one. Next time I will touch up when my hair tells me to touch up. I made some progress, but I lost some as well.

Hopefully by next touch up, with at least another inch, I'll be able to finally claim APL. Will be rooting the rest of the challengers on

I'd feel more comfortable with at least another inch before claiming though, my hair isn't that thick and I'm not feeling that APL feeling yet *lol*. I waited this long, I can wait a little while longer.;)

I agree mona, I think you are already apl... Lets just say if I was your length I would be claiming it!! Gurl you need to claim it!!! (singing "wipe me down, wipe me down!!!:lol: )
