Hits: Keracare 1st Lather Shampoo - clarified with it for the first time last night, and it left my hair surprisingly soft and clean. Clarifying with no tangles, wow!

Hit: Let's jam gel with the orange top. I am 6 weeks post and my glaze just wasn't cutting it anymore. I bought this off a hunch and even though it's kind of tricky to use, I think this will be in my bag of tricks for those long stretches.

hit: Biotin (my hair is so full!!)
hit: ORS Olive Oil Moisturizing Serum is the TRUTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHEW!!!

Hit: Proclaim Aloe and Shea Conditioner.
Thanks Priestess for the sale tip. This smells good. (just like the Jergens lotion)

Big fat ole' MISS: Being too busy (and it being so dern cold!!) to wash my hair this week (so I haven't washed in over a week  )!! Some breakage, weird-looking ends, crazy itching, and my hair's so dirty and lifeless looking :( ... How did I ever go two or more weeks  ??!!

But I've finally got my new dryer from eBay and KeraCare line, so I'll hopefully be back with hits! And some pics b/c I haven't started on my Fotki, yet... I'm so friggin' lazy... But third shift is whipping my butt!!

Hit: HH Herbal Essence, Pantene Liso Straight, Rollersetting

Misses: Nexxus Humecc. this made my hair tangled or maybe it's because I'm going on 3 1/2 months post.
But HH made my hair feel like I touched up

My hair hated this as well. I gave 2 bottles of it away at the Baltimore Meet and Greet!

I finally pulled out the NTM serum I brought earlier this year, but was scared to use because it has cones... and I was floored. My hair loves this stuff. When I detangle there are usually a variety of different strand lengths. There aren't a lot, but no two are the same. After 2 days of NTM there were 2 that weren't shed hairs. TWO! And it's so soft and moist. I don't even feel like I need a daily moisturizer anymore. Why didn't somebody tell me!

-Kid's Organics Shea Butter Detangling moisturizer :yay: - I've been wanting to try this for a while and finally found it at Target. It has amazing slip and smells good. The only drawback is it can go on a bit greasy but after a few days my hair soaked it right up and remained VERY soft...even my ends are still soft and that is major since my ends seem to give me problems.
-Vicks cool mist humidifier: seems to keep my hair really moisturized during the night when i have the heat on :D i bought it for my sinuses but i'm reaping all the benefits

misses
-shampooing in large braids - no matter how many times i do this is just seems like my hair is not getting clean. loose sections for washing from now on.

Hit: Giovanni Direct leave-in; after seeing this talked about for ages I finally got some. I used in to rollerset last night and my hair feels sooooo smooth. I am currently 8 weeks post and my newgrowth is soft as silk. I know it will be even better on when I relax.

Yes Yes! It's a Keeper for me. I will buy another bottle before the sale is over this month.

Hits: GNC's Ultra NourishHair
Evening Primrose oil 1300(GNc)
3000mg of Biotin (up from 1500)
1000mg of MSM (up from 500)
This combo have made my hair extra soft and I have been using for almost two weeks now and have a lot of new growth.

Misses: Kid's Organics Shea Butter Detangling moisturizer:mad:
This did well for about a week then my hair started to feel like straw and went dry 30 min after I put it on.

Garnier Frutis Sleek and shine Leave in cream. A HUGE MISS. As soon as I put this mess on my hair, my hair immediatly started to tangle, develop knots and went dry.

FLEXIRODS!!!!!

Did the magnetic rollers last week....they were ok but had to flat iron the roots due to NG. No way i want to use heavy heat like this just to have a nice rollerset (defeats the purpose to me). if i want to use a flatiron, i want it to be for a straight-up straight look only

BUT

I did a rollerset with these things last night (OMGosh wish i had a camera!!!!) - sat under the dryer then went to bed (still ouchies but i started sooo late and was getting too tired to stay under that dryer.

i bought a few of the really big magenta colored ones but i prefer the purple and blue. i'm using the orange and gray for around the hair line, nape and half-butted bangs in the front.

i unrolled these this morning and i must say - i wish i would have used them sooner!!

the curls are luscious and very spirally! the proclaim mist wasn't as moisturizing as i'd hoped so i used some WGO on the ends and brush the ends with a soft boar bristle. i basically left the curls intact and just pulled them out a bit.

for transitioners worrying about NG and rollersetting - you can get waaaaay more tension with the flexis than you can with the magnetics. this really helps gets alot of the nap out of the NG soooo much better!!!

There's a gal (Sekhmet - gotta give credit where credit is due) on nappurality that as a fab album that had a ingenious tip in her tutorial to use with the flexis that i'm gonna use next time.

she used those colored plastic hair clips (their pretty large in size, you get 'em at Sallys) and clips the flexi near the scalp - GREAT IDEA she had!! it really really holds the hair taut near the scalp.

trust me ladies - yall have me doing alot of digital camera research cause i'm really proud of myself!!

I'm totally trying a flexirod set soon. Me and magnetic rollers are NOT friends. The flexis are so much easier for me to manipulate. I already have some of the blue and purple ones.:)

Wow Caplush. I guess our hair are just the direct opposites.
My hair LOVE Nexxus Therappe Shampoo but HATED the Dudley PCA.
If I still had my PCA I would suggest a swap out. lol. I gave it away though.
