Can I list Sally's as a hit, ??!! I got that Proclaim giftset for $12.99!! It retailed for over $18! I also picked up the Proclaim Natural 7 Oil (I battled between choosing the smaller, orange, Kemi-Oyl look-alike b/c I'd heard good reviews about this one) and a Motions leave-in. I know I said I wasn't buying anything new, but I was under pressure! I also needed a Kemi Oyl equivalent that comes in a larger bottle! And you can never have too many leave-ins! You know... A night one, daytime one, one for dry hair, one for wet hair, one that smooths edges, one that holds your hair in place, one just b/c you should always moisturize your hair :look: ...

What's in the Proclaim gift set? I didn't get a chance to go to Sally's to pick up the new sales pamphelet.

The Proclaim Natural 7 Oil is really good. I bought it a few months ago and I use it for everything.

And that oil is surely a hit! I got it on sale for $2.49 and I'm lovin' the smell!!

ETA: I just realized the glossing polish is only 6 oz, but I'm still pleased. The lady that rang me up was talking about how great a gift this is... "No, it's just part of my early Christmas." And she told me about some sale after Thanksgiving! Woo-hoo! I meant to get my card right then and there. I used to actually not care all that much for Sally's...

Hit-
Elasta QP recovery oil moisturizer
This product is so great and the ingredients are really good. I don't really like Elasta's products so I thought this would just be another space-grabber under the cabinet. I can use this with absolutely nothing else on my hair and I have great curl formation and shine! yessir

Misses-
Infusium 23 leave in conditioner
I ran out of my staple and decided to use this poor excuse for a leave-in. I started shedding like crazy almost within a few days. never again

Now don't nobody get fired!! Think about your hair!! (Only a hair nut, lol!!)

This Motions Anti-Breakage Lotion I got yesterday is still on the fence for me. I've got this feeling when I take my hair down it's not going to be too pleasant... I sealed it with that Proclaim oil, but I've never had a good experience with ANYTHING with "Lotion" in the title :ohwell: ...

And about me and my leave-ins  ... Well, I like that HEAVY-butt KeraCare w/ Jojoba and gonna get me some Hairdress (once I get some more payments off eBay. That's sad... Selling "my house" for my hair :( ...) But until I get my Hairdress, I need a lighter one. I don't really like my Paul Mitchell the Conditioner (added an oil mix), that discontinued Herbal Essences one, and my Africa's Best Hair Mayo is alright... But just how I know I have my shampoo and condtitioner, I wanna feel that way about my leave-in!!

I do this to keep my new growth supple and combable(it also makes my hair look thicker).

Basically, I part my hair (row by row) apply some type of liquid to my scalp, rub it in a little, smoothing it down on my roots. Then use a fine toothed comb to smooth the section down from the roots. Then I use grease or oil on the same section and do the same thing. Make another part and repeat until I finished my whole head.

I've since run out of B&B growth serum so now I'm using surge and sulfur8.
I don't do this every day, only on days when I wash my hair so I won't get all itchy.

Welcome the QP Oil recovery crew. I love this stuff. I wasn't crazy about most of the QP stuff and would not have tried this if it wasn't for the ladies here who raved it. (PJism isn't always bad when you find a staple!)

No Misses

I have this in my collection. I better try it out. But it looked like it would be some good stuff! Glad it worked for you.:)

Hits: Seamless combs (from tenderheaded.com)

Misses: Jason Natural Biotin Conditioner - I used it, mixed with oil, for a prepoo and it didn't really seem to do anything great for my hair. I love the Sea Kelp con, though.

HIT:

Pantene Pro-V Relaxed & Natural Conditioning Wrap & Set lotion

I bought it for a rollerset, but it turns out that it is really good for airdrying to a soft finish.

Yeah, that's how I use mine also. I haven't done a rollerset with it in ages. Thanks for reminding me I need to go get another bottle.

It is very moisturizing. I normally use Pantene's smooth stsrt comb in treatment or the Pantene restoratives leave in cream and they both make my hair soft, too. But, I found that with the Relaxed and Natural spray, my hair dried faster and a little straighter.
