Name Your Do Or Die Product.

Not that you need my constructive suggestion OP but ... would have been nice (for me) to know who was natural and those who were not; also if you tell us why your one product was your favorite (some did some did not tell us).

I don't yet have a ride or die product but this list gives me some ideas. I want to spend more time with my black castor oil and try ceramides.

Yes @gn1g I do. I have a big head full of fine strands . My hair is deceiving. It looks really full but it's just full of fine strands

I figured so because your fav product was protein. I too have fine hair and protein is a must. My hair loves brown gel, it is my number 1 growth aid.

Do you get split ends often?

Suave Professionals Almond and Shea Butter Conditioner. I use it as a leave in for my wash and gos and never fails me.
Natural...3 c medium strands/medium porosity/bsl when straight/shoulder blade length when curly.

I like this b/c I can use it as a leave in for my wash and gos. I have never had success with products specifically for curly hair or specifically to be used for curly styles. They just end up crunchy on my hair and leave my hair parched after about 3-4 hours. I use SPASC as a rinse out conditioner, but it is the only product period I can use on my hair, leave it in and helps define my curls with making them look stringy/jherri curly or dry into non-existence a few hours later.

To tell you the truth, I never know if my ends are split or not because it's natural. I never straighten it, it's always in its kinky state. But if my ends feel rough I will dust or go get a trim.

Aloe vera juice. I'm wearing twists now. It's inexpensive and lasts a good while. I mix it with water and it keeps my hair just as soft and moisturized as the more expensive, smaller bottle spray moisturizers I used to use.

I actually have a favorite for when I wear my hair straight and one for when I wear it kinky, but since we can only name one there ya go!

Abba Gentle Conditioner (Leave In). My cousin/stylist first recommended it to me 15 years ago when I started to transition from relaxed to natural. I loved it. I've tried other popular ones (KCKT, Paul Mitchell, reg conditioners as leave ins) but I always go back to Abba.

I'm natural and my one do or die product is as I am curling jelly. It's runny and slips through my hair with ease. My hair lasts all with minimum effort. My hair is soft, moisturized and shiny.

Locally they want 12 or 14 dollars! I get it from Ensley Beauty supply!
That's exactly how much I paid $14....

Eta: thanks for the info on Ensley, just checked it out. I'm gonna get the 32oz.....I can only imagine how much they sell it in the shop for!

One more ETA: I just used some this morning (remember my ration) now that I know there is more to come! :clapping:

Yeah, I don't know why I didn't just get the big one. I might as well since I use it every wash day...:lachen:

I'm 8 months into my natural hair journey and without KCCC my 4b/c TWA would be absolutely nothing. When I'm traveling I buy a small jar at my destination and its the ONLY product I worry about being confiscated on our return trip back.

Do you have fine or coarse hair?
I am always on the look out for a good leave in, what does this do for your hair? Does it prevent split ends, stop breakage, create slip, help detangle etc?

My hair is mostly med/thick with a fine area in the back left. For me Abba creates slip, helps to detangle, and leaves my hair nice and soft overall. It feels like it melts into my hair whereas KCKT, for example feels like it only coats it or sits on top.
