I agree. I'm really tempted to make an appointment. I wish she gave free consultations.

When she 1st left the salon in NY I was given her cell phone number. I spoke w/her personally & she had just begun 2 do hair n DC. I wanted an appointment 4 a silkener. She told me that it would be @ least $400. Maybe more - she would have 2 assess my hair 1st. That $400 stopped me dead n my tracks.

She would really have to give me some outstanding results for me to come up off of 400 bucks for ONE chemical service. Esp. b/c I have to get relaxer retouches at least every 2 months.

Can you tell her how you want your curls to look or does she just loosen them as much as she can? I would want bigger curls w/no frizz, some shine, and smoothness.

I am finally going to take my braids down and I want the shingle or silkener look but she sounds extremely expensive. I live in Md so I can go to DC. I just don't know if I can afford her and if it is truly worth it.

I'm really not that impressed w/her client's hair. It looks dry and heavy IMO. IMO her sister in NYC does a better job.

Four HUNDRED dollars for a perm/texturizer/silkener? Oh, Dizzam. Must be nice to have that sort of money to drop on hair......
