Is Snooping Around "Stealing" Another's Privacy?

I've caught some people snooping into someone's things (they don't know I know), incl. their computer. It's not like they were trying to prevent a suicide or something or a terrorist activity. These are christian ladies and constantly making others aware but who are snooping into the private domain of another person. What would you say to them when they find out you know about it? Isn't that stealing another's privacy? Is it lying and concealing that they are doing so? They truly have no right to do so. If their ears get burned, I'm sure their feelings are gonna be hurt. But why the breach in security and morals? The things people do in the office, trying to find out about something not their business.:nono: I'm laying low when that hits the fan because they were almost caught red-handed by the owner. Just to mention, they are not the boss.:look: Well, it wouldn't be right for her either. But just saying...why on earth?!!!

^^That too, yes. But on moral grounds, that's what I'm trying to get through my head. Why preach all this stuff and you're doing this? They say you can steal another's time by consistently being late, stealing another's peace by rudeness...many such acts of "stealing." I'm trying to see their point of vue in this as though it doesn't hit on the G-d-meter. Makes no sense...and I'm not going to confront at all...just let the poo poo hit the fan!! :giggle:

Actually, you should confront the person gently, I would not want to do this, but I take an attitude that I really am not sure what I saw, but I have to remind them that it didn't look right and that they can be fired, not only that but God is watching all of this. Normally I just mind my business, but we as Christians have some sort of responsibility towards our brothers and sister. read James
James 5:19-20
New American Standard Bible (NASB)
19 My brethren, if any among you strays from the truth and one turns him back, 20 let him know that [a]he who turns a sinner from the error of his way will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins.

James 5:19-20
The Message (MSG)
19-20 My dear friends, if you know people who have wandered off from God’s truth, don’t write them off. Go after them. Get them back and you will have rescued precious lives from destruction and prevented an epidemic of wandering away from God.

People aren't without fault or sin so this may be an area they just need work on.

It's definitely a trespass against someone and an invasion of one's privacy. If you have definite proof... beyond any reasonable doubt, make them aware of this. Pray and see how the Holy Spirit will lead you to do so.

One other method which never fails is by thanking God for exposing them and bringing their actions into the light of the person that they have been intruding upon. I would even alert the person who is being invaded upon to 'lock' their computer and other private belongings. Keep the invaders out of their privacy.

This may be true, but it needs to be addressed for them to be 'delivered' from it; and mainly to protect the person who is being imposed upon.
