I wish I had her hair!

Flat Shoals Road in Conyers, GA? Where is that? I must be confusing it with Flat Shoals Parkway in Decatur, GA. I hear many black women in Atlanta, GA have long healthy hair like this. My girl moved there to do hair and she tells me many woman not only have long healthy hair like this in GA but they tend to be natural and straighten it on a regular basis so their hair gets this healthy because it is really natural and just straightened so they are not dealing with chemicals from relaxers.

She informed me a lot of women in Atlanta have hair that looks like this and one of my sorors from FAMU, whom I saw at the 2005 FAMU/TSU game in Atlanta, had hair like this and it is all hers and VERY healthy!

I forgot to post the myspace page... http://www.myspace.com/epitomehair

I think that's her in the page background... she looks young. I could be wrong though.

She looks like a kid. Long gorgeous hair too. I don't want to have to depend on a stylist to do my hair for me.:ohwell: That is too long for me. Brastrap or maybe waist length is the longest I'd ever want to grow.

It looks so thin and lifeless. It's super long tho which I guess is most people's ultimate goal. I prefer her stylist's hair. It's got some body to it and isn't so long he's gotta think about it when sittin down on the toilet. That poor girl.

Me too! However, If I had the length I would wear it natural like in this link:

http://public.fotki.com/raehlilisynth/

Less Work!

As soon as I saw that pic (and esp considering her age) I figured that her hair IS natural, and those pictures are the result of a blowout. It would also explain why her ends look so thick - she might just have gotten a trim after the blowout to even everything up.

GORGEOUS hair - I want my hair to be that long straight. With shrinkage, I'll be lucky if it comes to my brastrap. *LOL*

I went to ATL a few mos and I was floored by the hair. it seemed like all the black women had beautiful hair. I went to Aveda and I never seen so many black women in there getting their hair shopping on. It was surely an eye-opening experience.

Then someone told me that a lot of that hair was probably lace-fronts.:perplexed

Wow,
Her hair is gorgeous!!!! That is my goal lenght. I went to the myspace page and noticed that the studio where she got her hair done is right here in Georgia where I live!!! In fact, it's in the same area where my aunt lives. I think I'll pay EHS a visit just to see how it is...;)

I'm glad someone else was thinking it. I would rather have a shorter length and some body.

Yeah her hair is long, but its very uninteresting and in my opinion ... its not flattering. Its just long. You could do some intricate buns or maybe updos with it, that would be fun or interesting. IMHO, Midnightcurl's hair is preferable.

Congrats to the young lady on achieving her length though.

Very true... many of the surburanites in ATL have nice healthy hair... relaxed and naturals. There are quite a few natural hair care specialist and many that focus on healthy hair period. Even though I have never had extremely long hair, it's ALWAYS been kept health and bouncy and nice looking thanks to ATL Hair Care specialists. :)

There is also a Flat Shoals down in College Park... I don't know Conyers that well because it's a bit far, but not too far from the South DeKalb area, which is the side of town I live on. I'm gonna think about calling this guy although I am fairly loyal to my current Hair Care Specialist.

I don't know, she looks young to me for some of the hairstyles you guys are suggesting. I'm guessing the girl is 13-15. Maybe she can get some sophisticated layers when she gets older but this looks perfect to me. JMHO.

Yeah, plus you have to keep in mind that we are simply looking at a couple pictures taken specifically for advertising the salon, so of course they are going to be emphasizing the length and sleekness of her hair in the photos. None of us has any idea how she wears her hair normally.

Her hair is lovely! I'd be interested to find out what her regimen is like. I imagine it's not actually as hard to take care of as people might expect.

that hair looks great and i would take it any day.
for those who take care of our hair on a regular
basis i think it wouldnt be too hard because you
get used to it as it grows then a that length you
could bun and go twist and go wrap and go anything.
Now if you are a salon girl and tried to take care of
all of that hair yourself you might get :ill:

maybe in 3yrs i can have that much hair

ITA, its uninteresting to me, proly because i see so many indian women with hair that long, and since i KNOW black hair can grow to whatever legnth with care, this picture doesn't shock me. Id like to have the dudes hair though. I must say, this makes mewant my trip to ATL next april...lol just to get my hair did!

I noticed that the stylist is using a brush with a blowdryer. That technique usually results in the pin straight look. I bet if the young lady just washed her hair and let it airdry or had the stylist rollerset it her hair would come out fuller. For straight hair, I prefer the long and thick look like Macherieamour or Redhotlala on Fotki.

Her hair is long and healthy looking but it does not personally appeal to me. Now her stylist that is a head of hair that I love! IMO that long, straight hair though healthy and pretty, is tres boring and I don't desire it. Moreover would just require too much work. She certainly seems to know how to take care of it because it looks very healthy and even,

This thread is funny....her hair is similar to some others on this board that get mad props. Things that make you go hmmm.

I was thinking the same thing! But oh well! To each her own.

her is pretty and healthy, but as far as styling is concerned Im not a fan of the super sleek pin straight look.

That's what I was thinking. It's nice and long and healthy, but I prefer the stylists hair any day. Give me body and hair personality.
