How To Attract A Rich Man

From working in retail, I learned that the only consistently skinny size is a 27 and below. Which is basically a 4. A 28 and a 29 look average not skinny. And a 30 and above look thick or fat. It's better to assume there are no exceptions

But don't let this info get you down. Just do a cost benefit analysis and weigh the opportunity cost. Pun not intended.

Also FelaShrine you need to stop calling these babies butterballs. You aint right.

The beyonce example makes sense. In my head im all like "I wanna look even hotter when I get married :pulpdance:" but you're totally right. She's still beautiful and there's nothing wrong with a shift in focus, but I can totally see the difference. Oh noooo. Lol

Anyway, I agree with the comments about the income of suitors being proportional to weight. I've never dated anyone that was straight up rich-mid six figures is as high as my elevator has gone :giggle: but I can still see the difference cause at my heaviest I was still getting compliments, it was just from "work with a brother" type dudes while the guys I was attracted to started focusing on my personality and talking about women they were dating. I lost that weight right quick when I noticed that mess :look: people used to be like "how'd you do that so fast?" Your son started confidently flirting with me and that was my motivator :duck:

I'm not sure what it is about certain guys and weight but they will swoon over you when you look basic as hell just because you're tiny while Ray at the mall is like "why are you so small now? :ohwell:" one of the last times I was at the mall a complete stranger with his pants hanging down walked up to me and said "too skinny ma :nono:" perfect :look:

This is the gospel truth. Ratchet dudes loved me bigger. I mean love. When I got around college guys I was confused, like where is the love at? I'm 163 now, down from 230, and I get less ratchets. 143 is my stopping point but the opportunity cost of weighing less than that simply isn't worth it to me. I don't even like men that much, so no.

Im not that serious about dating right now, but i do have a new mentor. (a white alum who owns casinos) and I've been talking to Jew boo ( I call him Jew boo :look: ) since barbiesocielite suggested I hit him up. We'll see where that goes. I'm so not down with the swirl but he's so awesome.

you can't use married women as the standard for single women. Everyone knows becoming a wife is like a get out of jail free pass to let yourself go.:look:

Once you get married, you dont have to be as thin or as "on" as you do when you're single.

If I let myself go I'd be very single quickly. I have to be on more now than when I was single.

LOL!!! exactly!

Has anyone discussed reading up on their industries and being prepared to have a thoughtful conversation on the topic? I think that's essential. No?

(Btw, one can't expect nerdy entrepreneurs to be fashionable. You can dress them once you're dating lol)

Figured...SMH.

I want to go to one, went years ago and loved it. Looking for one that interests me.

TwoSnapsUp I go to the theater all the time alone; unfortunately I'm usually the only black person there as well. :perplexed

I wouldn't consider the theater as a "hot spot" for single men. But as you well know, you can meet men grocery shopping. So I say be open and enjoy yourself at the theater.

So the lawyer was very cool, treated us all well and we chatted for a good portion of the night..my bff that went to law school with him and said that he's super smug since he's doing so well (makes close to a quarter million) and not to get caught up. I'm not fazed at all, he can get in line with the rest of them.

No man should ever be smug over making close to a quarter million.

He's a first year associate making that straight out the box, it's impressive considering the economy and how competitive NYC is. But and however, he's just a man to me, lol.

Oohh...I was not thinking 1st year associate when you said "very prominent lawyer," or are they two separate people.

I'm not saying that $250K is peanuts but that's pretty standard for 1st year associates at large firms. Doctors, bankers, PE associates, consultants, and other professionals make around that much out the gate too and in most cases that's all in, not just base. I'm simply saying that while $250K is a good start it's nothing to be feeling yourself too tough over, especially not in NYC.

250k isn't standard for first years. 160ish is.

For the lawyers I know who went the corporate route $160ish is the base but with bonus the package can get close to $250k. Obviously this depends on the firm and pay structures. My main point was that dudes need not get a swollen head over that. It's good, but it's not eye popping. Plus 9 times out of 10 a whole lot of that is going to pay off 3 years worth of loans.

this is pretty much it. it's even a bit difficult to make that amount of bonuses in the first year. unless you've maybe clerked in the first year and you come in as a second year + plus the bonus for having clerked can you make that amount.

but yeah it's not all that much after loans and a lifestyle in a major city like NY or LA. the loan business ruins everything.

You are killing me :lachen: perhaps I should've said "call me when you make senior partner" lol.
:thud:

I would die if I ever overheard that conversation.

On another note, I finally made it out to a polo match this past weekend. It definitely wasn't swarming with single men. There were a lot of families with young children. Still it was a good time. The weather was beautiful, the horses were majestic, and I had absolutely no clue what in the hell the announcer was saying most of the time. I will likely go back for the final match of the season. It's definitely a good place to start making inroads with a new social circle.

there should be a seperate thread for the blue collar ones, you know the imaginary garbnage men making 100k/a month or whatever that person claimed

:lachen::look:

Met a director of operations of a 10 star ship line as well as an heir to a popular winery in france. I see this ending well :look:

don't date budding/aspiring or current politicians. :look:

I didn't mess with politicians because I've done too much dirt, there's no way a politician would have married me. Also they scare me. I'm not trying to end up like Chandra Levy.

I broke my rule and went on a few dates with a local politician once. He was a slimeball.
