No sarcasm? You'll never get that here :lachen:

Anyway I can only tell you how long it took me. Everyone's answers will be different depending on growth rate, if they like to trim, and other factors...

It took me 2 years

It normally takes 2 years from TWA to SL. So I think 3 years is reasonable, or 4 at the most.

I think it took me around 3 years....?

BUT my hair grows slow....plus in the beginning years I was trimming unnecessarily (spelling?) and didn't take care of my hair as well as I do now.

It's contingent on your growth rate, setbacks, etc. How long did it take you to get to 4 inches and how many inches do you need to get to your bra? I have about 7 inches of natural hair and I'm 5'7''. I hope to be at BSL in late 2010 which is 3.5 years from my last relaxer.

okay ladies it took me since december 27 2007 when i shaved every strand off my head with clippers to 4 inches today november 5th 2008.I had a trim in september and i think she took an inch off from what i seen falling on the floor.I also was using glue in tracks over a stocking cap from jan-july 2008 so that probaly impeded a lot of potential growth huh?????So u say two years for shoulder length.well dang i still have a long ways to go then.man this is gonna be about a million years before i get apl then....i knew i shouldnt have went to such drastic measures when i shaved my head...:wallbash:oh well it wont happen again...im about to megatek myself to death since i found out this sad news:sad::sad::sad:Im currently wearing braids and megatekking /oct eod.

I thought it only took 1 year to get to shoulder length? I guess it depends on how long your neck is.

I say two years to get to BSL from 4 inches. I did the BC at 3 inches and from my measurements it looked like it would take me around two years

I would say two and a half years, but I really don't know because I'm not even APL. But it took me a year to go from transitioning with about 3 inches of natural hair to shoulder lengther when it's pressed.

i remember i went from 1" to collarbone length(for me, that was like 9") in a year & a half. coulda been longer but i used to trim 1/4" off every month.

(aside from trims, is that kinda fast? just wondering...)

From my nape to my brastrap is 12 inches... My last relaxer was Oct 31, 2007. I haven't used any heat since then. I have done only twist, twist outs (even thought about locing) and I've been able to maintain about 4 1/2 to 5 inches (stretched and out of twists). I would say minimum 2 yrs, max 3...so I guess I'm with TCatt 2 1/2 yrs.

I know how u feel, and when u are tall..( i am 5"11), it takes 10 years and a day it seems to get to BS..not to mention i have a long neck too....ahh well..just gotta put in the work and time i guess...i have had a lotta set back too..

I think it'll take you about 2.5 more years because of your height. APL will look nice and long on you because of your tall frame.

I bc'd last December and only had about 1-1.5 inches of hair stretched. Here is where I was

and this is where I am now. This is my third attempt at flat ironing, but I didn't bother to stretch my hair out for a length check...

I can only get the back half of my head in a bun though :ohwell:

I'm a shortie (5'2), so I guess it shouldn't take me that long. As you can see, it took me 10 months to get to where I am today minus trimming off a total of 2 inches. I constantly trim and do search and destroys, so I haven't had too many setbacks

it took me 2 years to get to apl and about another 5 months i should be bsl, so i would say 2 1/2 years..

Im in between 5'9 and 5'10 and my torso is SHORT! So IMHO... The lenght of the torso is an important factor wether you're short or tall.

I don't think it is going to take me long at all!! I'm 5'2 but the problem is that my torso is sooo long... my friend is 5'5 and my torso is longer than hers!!

lol!!!:lachen:Well I guess that can play a part in it too on shorties. The thing with me is I have a longer than normal neck too.I measured with the measuring tape and from the top of my head to my shoulder is a good 12 inches. Now from the back of my head that would put me at apl or a little longer but im measuring from the crown down so i guess brastap is like 18 inches...i have some 18 inch wet n wavy micros in and they come to a little below apl.

For the ladies that provided answers, are ya'll talking about the time it took you to get to BSL from the last time you had a relaxer or from when you BCd?
