High Protein 3 month Challengers Check-in!!!!

On Monday, I started taking this protein Cherry flavoured drink from Holland and Barratt, which I mix with Blueberry juice drink, which you take three times a day. Ekomba you look great!

I've been slacking for the last week or so, too. WhipEffectz called me out at the Atlanta LHCF meeting, so I need to get myself back in line, LOL!:lol:

I try to have at least one protein drink made with Jay Robb Whey protein 1x per day - that's at least 24g of protein (I usually have this for breakfast). I've done well so far today:

1 egg, scrambled
3 pieces turkey bacon
1 scoop Jay Robb whey protein
turkey burger patty

I have not seen any extra growth and the extra protein/cholesterol is bad for my diabetes so I'm stopping. I did try though. I was eating 2 eggs a day, soy nuts, soy crisps, catfish or Talapia, and high protein slim fast bars everyday for my protein intake. That was about 75 grams daily.
 
Have you seen any improvement in your hair?

I have it is growing and it is much thicker, yeaaaaaaaaaaa!

Ditto, my hair is growing as well. I can't wait to see how much growth I can attribute to the protein!

Looks like everyone has fell off!!!! But I am still on it and doing great. I got my 1 inch for February 14(day I got my weave)-March 14! :grin: I will see what March
14-April 14 holds!
 
:p I have fallen off a bit I just started a new job and things have been hectic. I will be jumping right back on this week and have had much success with the high protien diet I hope to have it become a way of life for me.:D
 
I sort of fell off in that I am doing the high protein, just not really counting. I do not know what I have gained but my hair is much thicker and I know it is longer because I am now able to put it in a high ponytail and braid it and that braid is substantial enough that it looks like a bun and not a little kids hairstyle. This is saving me because I sweat sooooo much when I workout so I need the tension of the elastic band as opposed to a barrette. Because I do not think I was hitting the 100 gram mark, I did increase my spirulina intake from six tablets a day to 12 and my barley grass from two tablets to six. I researched it carefully and found out that one can take as many as 20 tablets a day of the spirulina.

How much growth do you normally get in a month?

I am still going strong but I don't really count the grams of protein anymore. I have at least 1 inch of growth since Feb (my last relaxer). I usually get 1/4 of an inch per month. I am going to keep up the high protein until May and I will relax around May 5.

Good for u!!!! I usually get 1/2 inch.....sometimes a little more or less! Keep up the good work. I am going until May 14 and then its length checking time! :grin:
