I've dated guys my height, and one or two a little shorter (I'm 5'8"). The last few years though (as my stiletto collection grew :look:) I've been leaning towards taller men. My ex was 6'4" and my current SO is 6'3" I like that they're still taller than me - even with my 4" heels on.

Also..sometimes short men feel more...breakable. My only requirement is that I know you're stronger than me and uh...some of them aren't :ohwell:

Yes, height does matter :)

Applicants must be 6ft or taller. I'm 5'8, and I still want to feel like the lady when I'm with him in heels.:yep:

A lot of people say things like height, weight, etc matter. It used to matter to me as well, but then I fell for Howard :drunk:

I'm 5'10.5, so finding a taller guy doesn't always come easy. My ex is 6'0. It was nice going out with a taller person. But height definitely isn't what makes the person. He was abusive, both physically and emotionally, and wasn't willing to compromise for me. We broke up in June, and after that, I started talking to Howard, whom I already knew for years already. He's about 5'7-5'8. He's more than genuine, caring, loving. I know he's there for me.

Something I always told myself was that people change, especially in appearance. A buff man can get older and lose his buffness. A funny man can run out of jokes. A tall man can get shorter when he starts to hunch. A man with a strong spirit and personality, however, doesn't change, and that's Howard to me.

I'm sooooo happy my DH is tall. I'm 5'7 and he is 6'4. When I was in the dating field I felt funny dating guys that were shorter than me when I put my heals on.

I prefer tall men but my man is actually an inch shorter than I. He makes up for it in so many other ways ;-)

@ the bolded: It has taken me years to develop this mindset (I still fall short sometimes ) but you are DEFINITELY right. As long as he doesn't have a Napoleon complex; we can make something happen. I'm 5'2 . Preferably, I want someone who is of average height (5'9 and UP),but ultimately there are more important things to concern myself when looking for a mate.

Unfortunately, it does. I tried. My ex was 5ft9 (although he SWORE he was 5ft9 1/2). He still was short to me (I'm about 5ft6 or 7 depeding on my mood).

Recently I met an interesting/seemingly nice man. Educated, major in the army, he was an Omega man (which was interesting b/c I had never been interested in an Omega before), and he was definitely gainfully employed...

Anyway, I decided to meet him (first date), and I pulled up to a fairly large BMW SUV. So I get out of my car and he gets out... wait... he jumped out of the car and I swear I thought it was like watching a child jump/climb down from a high seat). You all--- this man must have been 5ft4 AT THE MOST. Anyway.... we went to a baseball game and had a really nice time, great conversation. So much so that we did not even watch the game.....

So, I'm open, but I can't lie and tell you all his height wasn't at the forefront of my thoughts throughout. So we'll see...

I'm 5'6 and I'm talking to a guy that is i guess 5'8. I prefer taller guys but if this one is a keeping I would be able to deal with it. But I love to be able to rest my head on his chest if we were standing up waiting for something or to lean back not be in his face.

Being 5'11,i usually date guys that are at least 6'2.It would feel akward for me to date a guy that was shorter than me.But,recently i fell in love with someone who's 5'7 and i just didn't matter how "short" he was, just how happy he made me

I'm dern near 5'8". My now SO is 5'11".
I voted tall... but what i really meant was "taller than me".
No specific limit to HOW MUCH taller than me, of course. Lol.:drunk:

I'm 5'8" and my ex husband was the same height. In the beginning I kept trying to overlook it but I couldnt. It always bothered me. When things got bad he seemed to get shorter and shorter.:perplexed

I would like my man taller than me with 4 inch heels. I dont like looking down to my man. :nono:

:lachen:
Im 5'8 and I just went on a date with a guy who said he was 5'11 and there is no way shape or form that this man is 5'11! I wore flats on purpose so that I would not tower over him, but I promise you that I was taller than him regardless. On the other hand, he is fine as wine(did I just say that?) and his dimples and body(he was wearing the mess out of that Ed Hardy Tshirt) makes up for it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I'm not the grammar police but the title of this thread has been bothering me for weeks!!!

This past summer I dated a guy who was maybe 5'9" with short stubby everything (legs, arms, :perplexed)... I'm 5'7" and it was SO annoying! :wallbash: Would wear heels and be slightly taller than dude. Ugggghhhh.

Then this past week I went on a first date with a guy who is truly 6'1" or 6'2" and it made all the difference :look: I was able to wear heels and still lean back into him without my hair choking him :lachen: Not to mention kissing him and leaning up instead of looking right in his dang face

I love tall men!! I am tall. I couldn't see myself with a man shorter than I am. (Maybe the same height but not shorter.)

My DH is 6'3.

I LOVE short men, I am 5'5"-5'6" and i like guys that are between 5'4" and 5'8" :lachen:

Overall it does. I'm 5'9 and I want someone that is taller than me. The guy that I dated before my current SO was 5'8. It wasn't a problem like I thought. My current SO is 6'0

i am 5'9..

Never have i ever dated a guy shorter than me!! Did i mention i love wearing heels?

My fiance is 6'1 .. perfect for me

shortest i dated: 5'11

tallest: 6'9 (dont ask)

I'm 5'6 and I love guys that around 6'0 and above. Lately, I have been meeting guys that are 6'3 and over.

I'm 4'9 myself, so I don't feel the need for a guy to be six feet tall. In fact, tall guys kind of scare me at first. I like the 5'6 and above kind of range. Feels tall to me.

Minimum of 6'2. I'm 5'10 and love heels. In high school I only dated basketball and some football players. My husband is 6'4.

However about 4 out of 10 guys that would approach me would be alot shorter than me and I just couldnt do it.
