Your curls are too tiny to be 3C/4A. This is what 3C/4A hair looks like:

You're in the type 4 bracket. The reason the front of you hair has no pattern is because it's combed out. My guess would be you have my hair type: 4B

How are you guys seeing 4A? Like vainღ♥♡jane? Perhaps it's time for me to hand in my typing license. What type does tHENATuRALhAiRpRoJEcT say this is? (<--payback! ) BlackMasterPiece?

(ETA: Incidentally, am I the only who's noticed the new trend this week of everyone claiming 3C/4A? When I joined the forum, 3C was the type to be. Guess 3C/4A is the what's currently in fashion. I clueless on fashion so that's probably why I don't get it.)

On a serious note, I don't know. Seeing is believing. Folks probably never imagined that twins could be born of the same mother but look like two complete different races but it's happened (scroll down for images). So if I see it, I will believe it. I just haven't, but then I also haven't seen 98% of the world either...so doesn't mean it doesn't exist.

I see 4a/4b--at least in the first picture. The others I see 4b, so I'd say predominately 4b, with some 4a.

ITA... I thought 4a/4b from the first pic because you can see some of the coils sticking out in the puff, but then the rest look mostly 4b.

I would say 4b like I said in the other thread where you posted pictures. I remember when I first joined the forum there were almost riots when people would claim they were another type then they really were. I'm not an expert because I'm always learning something new. I thought I was a 3c/4a mix for the longest due to mistyping, but I'm perfectly clear I'm a type 4 all over.

Maybe experts like Nonie, tHENATuRALhAiRpRoJEcT, and others will know for sure.

I still say 4-sth. Those latest pics remind me of these, but the curl seems a little bigger just I don't see the clumping I expect from 4A. :scratchch Maybe your are 4A/4B. I've always said that type baffles me.
