Aussie 3 Minute Orginal Sydney Smooth Treatment- this stuff is nice, it has a blend 3 of oils, natural ingriedients, plus it smells nice and gives a slip too.

Nexxus Humectress as a leave-in: I have a few sample bottles of this and used it as a leave-in, me likey.

Booooo

BB Castor Oil Moisturizer. This stuff isn't 'creamy' enough for me. I could tell it is oil based. The texture is slightly different than what I am used to in a moisturizer. It actually is like Pink Oil Moisturizer (which wasn't bad for my hair) but lighter and smells better. Now I have to think about a way to use it up. :scratchch

Yeah, I gave up on that stuff pretty quickly. I'm thinking I remember some ladies stated that drinking enough water combats its wrath, but I'm not taking that chance! I'm thinking of adding MSM within the next two weeks, but I'm already taking Vitamin E, a multi-vitamin, seaweed capsules, and probably Flaxseed oil. *Sigh* Decisions... :spinning:

Yeah, I'm drinking alot of water too, which is why I don't understand this whole flare up. I mean this is the worst my skin has EVER looked in my entire life! It's all part of the journey I guess....

*Me Likey - I've been trying to ration out my jar.....good stuff :yep:

*why, why did Mocha have to like the pricey stuff?

*why do I insist upon looking in these threads...:nono:

I was kinda hoping that my hair didn't like it b/c of the price  I definitely won't be using this every week, more like once a month. That way I can stretch it out a bit.

OT: Mocha I love your hair!!!:love4: Truly, it's breathtaking. I keep an inhaler close by in case I happen to see your siggie!

I cant believe I forgot to add Ion swimmer leave in detangler. I got a relaxer and three days later we went to Schlitterbalm(sp) and I used this. That was a month ago and my hair is still in GREAT condition,no adverse affects from the chlorine. Definantly a keeper. :yep:

I remember going here in high school. I know i will enjoy it more now. Back then, I was too worried about how I looked in my swimsuit to really enjoy myself. (but I still had fun)

Miss: Suave humectant DRIED OUT my hair instead of moisturize it...IDK what the problem was, maybe I'll try it again but be a little more heavy handed

It was alot of fun and after a while I just forgot about my hair and submersed myself in the water.lol I just kept spraying my leave in and hoped for the best. I even when to the bathroom and rinsed the chrlorine out periodically and a lady was looking at me like I was crazy.:ohwell: I just did a hair toss and kept it moving.

I HATED this stuff... my hair was like a brillo pad afterwards. Not like Nexxus Humectress at all :nono:

Hello Ladies~
I have been reading LHCF posts for months and I must say that this is the best thing I've seen for us in a long time. I have gotten so much valuable information here and I am in awe of all the LHCF Ladies who are on their quest to achieve overall fitness and health. Thank you all for the inspiration to "go natural" and work towards a healthier me.

Just had to say that. Now for my very short list of Hits and Misses.

HIT: Garnier Fructis Leave-In Conditioner Curl & Shine (GFLICCS) :drunk: - Just when I thought my hair was destined to be dry from twisting it with IC Fantasia Styling Gel, I discovered this little green bottle sitting in the back of the cabinet under the sink (yes I am a PJ big time!) Inside this bottle was a miracle. My hair not only absorbed this leave-in, and kept my hair moisturized with coils in place...it cured the frizzies and maintained it's softness. Even under the heat of the sun (103 degrees), my coils and curls were very soft. After about 4 hours, I noticed that it was a little dry, so I wet my hands and patted the surface of my "do" and Voila! Just like it was when I first applied the GFLICCS earlier that morning.

HIT: Garnier Fructis Soft Curl Cream (for shapely frizz-free curls) - When used in conjuction with GFLICCS, this cream will give you more hold to define and shape your curls/coils. And the best part is that it does not harden the hair, so it remains touchably soft and detangled.

Both products can be used alone to achieve great results.

MISS: IC Fantasia Styling Gel - Makes my hair too hard and too sticky or gummy. While I may still use it to slick my hair back on occasion, I will not use it for all over styling unless I want people to hear me touching my hair. :perplexed

Hits:

HIT

Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum - this stuff is doing wonders for me in this nasty, hot, humid NY weather. It has been keeping my hair smooth for two weeks. Any other time my hair would look like who-dunnit-and-ran. This will be a part of my stash from now on. Definite keeper!

Organix Vanilla Silk conditioner - thick and rich, smells like heaven and works great. I love this line!! I think I might go to Target and get the Tea Tree poo and con. They have them for 3.84 (down from 6.99). Please, I know I will.:nono:

On the Fence

CHI Silk Infusion - Don't get me wrong, I like it but I think I am going to use this when I relax (thanks, Navs, wherever you are). I like the smell, though. It was just okay for me. :ohwell:

Misses:
~NTM Silk Touch Leave In - made my hair gummy and unmanageable. Not sure why I purchased this again; I purchased this product for the first time right at the time when it was introduced, and, it had received raves on LHCF.
~CHI Silk Infusion - in addition to the smell, it did not perform as I had expected compared to Paul Mitchell Super Skinny Serum, which I have used for several years
~Mizani Thermasmooth Serum - I found it sticky, similar to the consistecy of a heavy syrup. Now, mind you, I did not use in conjunction with the Thermasmooth system, but, nevertheless...

Hits:
~Mizani Botanifying Shampoo - it left my hair soft and moisturized

Undecided:
~Mizani Rose H2O Nighttime Treatment - it seems to do what Supergirl promised it would do, but, I've only used it one time.

Yep, another Hit!

- Back to Basics Coconut Mango Conditioner for Thick, Coarse Hair

(coconut mango? Now y'all already know that's gonna smell good!)
