2007 TWA Grow Out Check In

I wish I could forget all about this TWA... My hair has grown some. It is 3 inches pulled out. I have just given up on braids and weaves. This TWA makes me look soooo much older. I'm only 38 and my 21 month old daughters day school provider mistook me as her grandmother!! She saw me in braids the 3 days before. I wore my hair in my TWA style. Sigh... I'm patiently waiting.

BTW The curly afro is something you buy at the BSS. It's a small round 3c curly looking drawing string phony pony.

I am just going to wash every other day, air dry, moisturize, seal, and wear a wig for the next two years. This is taking so long....

i'm in! i'm already doing the 6 month C & G challenge so i'm braided up in a protective style until next year.

Hang in there dlove, you will not have to wear a wig for two years, trust me! I know it's hard to be patient though. If you keep doing what you're doing, the length will come.

Checking in... I'm going to be doing a modified C&G challenge because I can't hook my own hair up yet. I get it braided for a couple of weeks, let it out 1 week, then put braids back in. I'm getting it braided tomorrow and I want to see how long I can make my cornrows last on my hair without extensions.

My regimen is all mixed up now, I switch off between Aveda Sap Moss, DR and Mizani Moistutrefuse and Fulfyl. Wigs and a few wash and go's. BT when I remember. I've really been slacking lately!! I'm getting on track starting tomorrow!
