2 Inches In 4 Months Challenge 2017 -final Session - Sept To Dec.

But I do things, or try products out and it messes up my progress! Lol I don’t know how to stick to the plan! Lol

You only got 3 months in the year. Stick to the plan for that little bit of time and see what happens. Your hair may teach you something new about it and you!

I’m gonna print this out! I need to post it on the door, or something! I’m so serious! Thank you! Xoxo

For real though, hair has a language all its own. But if you keep cutting your hair, it's the equivalent of putting a muzzle on it. What your hair communicates to you at this length is far different than what it may communicate to you at a longer length. Let her speak!

It's been almost 2 weeks and I had to take braids out. Last night I slathered hair with conditioner, cp oil, and shea butter and went to bed. Not sure how to style after today's wash process.

My growth is fine. My hair is crappy, but I’m not going to cut it off. It’s managable. Oh and I have experienced some hair loss in my crown.. that ORS straightening kit really did a number on me. I will not be messing with those types of treatments anymore. I could kick myself. Anyway, i’m just sticking to washing, deep conditioning, detangling, and tension method blow drying on cool.
I have to use good detangling sprays to manage my new growth. It’s out of control already. That’s why I was trying to find something to help tame it.

I have been drinking green smoothies, carrot juice, eating veggies daily, drinking water, taking a vitamin, so my new growth and nails are really coming in fast. I’m really on a health kick because I don’t want wrinkles...yes I am vain.

I’m gonna do my best to get to Dec for a relaxer touchup. I mentioned in another thread I’m concerned about going to a stylist for it, but I will maybe go for a consultation.

There are only 10 weeks left ladies until the end of the challenge. Time is flying.

But that is still enough time to get another 1/2 inch, 1 inch or 2 inches depending on your growth rate.

I hope to just stick with shampooing weekly and wearing this same flat twist style. Not doing anything special.

Like you, I intend to keep doing what I'm doing, keeping it very simple.

Hey, yall sorry for the lack of updates... my subscription was up last spring.

Anywho, I wasnt able to retain 2" for two-thirds of the year sadly. I can see that through comparing my starting picture (december 2016 at BSB/BSL) with my most recent length check (July 2017 at MBL - or close to it). I can think of a few things that may have hindered my growth, but I won't dwell on that. I'm focusing on what brought me over my last milestones and that's what I'm going to stick to: water and oil scalp massages, while in crochet braids.

I've put in crochet braids in the beginning of August. I've changed the style last week, but kept the cornrows. My braids pull up to almost 1 inch from my scalp as of yet. I'm hoping my hair grows over 1" for the rest of the session... I feel like I'm a slow grower though, but we'll see.

I had crochets in for about 6 weeks and the shed hair freaked me out. It seemed to take me forever to detangle but I did retain really well. Do you have a lot of shedding at takedown?

I still can't upload saved pictures. This is quite annoying. It seems this site wants you to take the picture live in order for it to upload.

Anyhoo, I've made progress. My hair went from the bottom of my lip to just above the bottom most part of my chin.

trying to stick to the plan. Oh I found some scissors... I got some new scissors too! Lol but I haven’t opened them yet! Lol I got them for DD.
I’m not in the mood for styling my hair, glad I got my head wraps and beanies.
So I’m just sticking to washing, deep conditioning 2x a week, and bunning my hair.
Working on my crown area. I have been using Scurl in that area, and it seems to be keeping it moisturized. I think I will measure that section to see how much I can grow/retain by the end of the challenge.

You might need therapy for the scissors.

You say you found them but I'm picturing your house looking a ransacked mess ;lol;

Lmbo! I was getting rid of some old hair tools, accessories, and organizing my hair stuff. There was a pair at the bottom of the drawer in the back! You would have thought I found some money! Lol but I got some new ones. They are very nice. I wanted to get some that had a coating on them for style, but I noticed slight chipping on them.
I need help...

Hi
Did a bentonite clay treatment last night and went to bed with my dc. I'm going away this weekend for a week so I will style my hair in wash and go updo's.
@beauti I did the same this weekend.

Have you noticed that your hair shrinks a lot?
I guess that's a good thing, no?
I don't have enough hair for a bun, but I've been feeling sorta self conscious about my hair for the past two days. I usually wear a puff, but I chose to leave it alone and let her breathe.

I thought we were already past that...didn’t someone do an intervention?
