What's UR favorite scent for hair products?

Do U ever have a product where you love the way it works, but not the way it smells?

Do U ever wish your favorite product came in a different scent?

Which products do U love strictly based on scent?

Which products do U hate strictly based on smell?

Cantu Shea Butter natural olive oil is my favorite scent and one of my favorite staple products! :love5:

BTW, I've favorited your website (maneandchic.com) before I subscribed to LHCF....Love It too :luv2:

my favorite scents are coconut and vanilla, in that order...

i absolutely LOVE the organix coconut conditioner (haven't tried the shampoo yet), but i'll be buying more conditioner, the matching shampoo and the vanilla silk shampoo/conditioner when my money gets right :lachen:

i wish all of my hair products smelled like coconut or vanilla :look:

Cantu Shea Butter leave in stanks when it dries, I was so scared about using it because it didn't want anyone thinking they smelled something when they clearly didn't

Kemi Oil Condtioning spray stinks, it works very well but too dang bad I'm not using anymore. I don't know what possesed me to buy it, at first the smell was alright just sniffing from the bottle, but all over my hair ...no

Most of the time I smell check in the store and will leave it on the shelf it I don't like it.

I'm a fat kid so I love things that smell like they could be eaten, Oyin Juices and Berries, Burnt Sugar Pomade and Honey hemp will be staples as long as I can afford them. So will Elast QP DPR 11, mango butter, and Suave Coconut.

I'm also known to buy cheap conditioners based on scent alone. All of them have some kind of fruit or vanilla scent. I had to clean house this summer because I'd collected so many.

Coconut! I love coconut smelling products and I will buy something just because of the way they smell.

I like any kind of product that has a citrus oriental type smell to it.

You can't go wrong with a good coconut smell. I don't even like the taste of conconut but love the fragrance.

Also, just love fresh air, clean smells.

Ummm can someone PLEASE tell me what are some of these products that smell like bakery - particularly the leave ins or condishs? And which ones smell like candy?

All the ones I have smell great, but don't really smell like either of those two. Mostly fruity or perfumy. Aussie Moist has a lovely smell but I just can't describe what it smells like lol

Im a new convert to a line called Bathed and Infused. They sell fragrances and bath products however their Body Mists products can be used in your hair. Right now i am into CLEAN scents so of the 1000 scents they offer i love  these ones (they all smell 100% like the real thing, not synthetic or fake, its pretty amazing). I mist these in my hair along with my body and i get a lot of compliments (i dont know why i like smelling like soap :bath:
  • DOVE OF PEACE: (Our version of Dove Soap) Beautifully fresh and clean but so creamy and comforting too...
  • DOWNEY: (Type) Just like original fabric softener.
  • CLEAN: (Type) A fragrance option for those who do not like to smell like a particular perfume, but rather prefer that just-out-of-the-shower fresh smell. Combines fragrance notes of litsea cubeba, orange, sweet lime, pink grapefruit, passion lily, rose geranium and white musk.

Product Ingredients

thanks for sharing this atlien11! :hug2:

hm.. i can't choose just one. It's a tie between candy and fruity/plant. I LOVE the scents of Kinky-Curly curling custard and Miss Jessie's curly pudding. They're so sweet smelling. but... also love the smell of my Garnier Fructis leave in and deep conditioners.

Then on the other hand.. I like the really smell of NTM leave in... and CHI silk infusion. Would those be considered cologne scents???

um.. so i voted for candy :look:

the only thing i can think of that smells like bakery (it's sweet though) that i've tried is Butter Me Up Hair Butter by curlsbysistersmith in "brown sugar". It reminds me of pastries and makes me want donuts or a cinnamon roll...:lick:

Love the smell of tropical things like coconut and banana too! but my fave scent is of the kpak line (not the reconstructor though cuz it has a separate scent). kpak stuffsmells like...don't know how to explain it- it just smells expensive, so $$$$$$....
don't like the smell of humecto very much although it is a good product it doesn't put me off too much because it's a DC and after that I apply the leave in and the serum and that $xpensive smell is restored-lol!

Hairveda products have some incredible smells from bakery like cake icing to oranges.

Don't know how she comes up with those smells but the ones I have used all smell nice.

Hairobics hair and detangler oils; African Royal Hot 6 Oil, WonderGro Shea Moisture pomade; Verifen Complex Constant Care for Ends.

I voted "Bakery" only because my fav conditioner at the moment is Suave Vanilla Floral because it gets the job done and it smells yummy. My second choice would have been Fruity...HE LTR and its raspberry yumminess and V05 Honeydew Smoothie, also favs of mine. :lick:

EndAll Hair Balm, Original Scent from Hair2Heaven smells like cake batter to me.

I don't think many of the mainstream brands carried at drugstores or salons have a bakery scent. I usually experience this scent from independent sellers who make their own natural products.

i like coconut, vanilla and cinamon my candles are vanilla and cinamon and i wish i could rub them in my head lol

i also like citrusy fresh smells

I like clean and fruity/plant the most....but they have to be lightly scented....if it's too strong it will bother me.

When buying a new product the scent is very important to me

What's UR favorite scent for hair products?
Clean, bakery, fruity or floral. I love the smell of Tresemme conditioners, alberto balsam sunkissed raspberry, Blended Beauty products, Elasta QP mango butter, ORS lotion.

Do U ever have a product where you love the way it works, but not the way it smells?
No, i leave the stinky products on the shelf I always smell them before i buy them. Vatika oil is the only smelly product that ive bought

Do U ever wish your favorite product came in a different scent?
No i like them all but i wish Dabur Vatika oil came in an unscented version

Which products do U love strictly based on scent?
Tresemme, alberto balsam and Herbal esscences conditioners they dont moisturise my hair enough but i still use them because of the smell!

Which products do U hate strictly based on smell?

Dabur Vatika oil

I like it all. I don't like things that smell chemically or sulfur or tea tree oil.

I like coconut, vanilla, candy smells, natural scents, bla bla bla. I smell everything before I buy it and I want people to smell my hair and ask me what smells so good.

I'm in love with the Cibu herbally smell right now. :) When I toss my hair or turn m head and I get a whiff I smile.

I"ve always been a fruity/flowery girl when it comes to smells from perfumes to hair products... I LOVE COCONUT too! The organix line really gets me gooood! As well as herbal essences.

I voted Clean and Fruity - I LOOOOOOOOVEEE how my Dominican products smell. Particularly the Silicon Mix, Lacio. Some say it's to perfumy I think it smells CLEAN :look:.

Most of my cheapie conditioners are Strawberry or Coconut. Though I like how they smell, I'd prefer more adult smelling smells. The fruity stuff reminds me of my teenage daugters stuff girly, kiddy, fun.

-Not really, the smell has to be on point first.
-Same as above
-I love the way organix vanilla silk smells and the tigi control freak as well as many other tigi products.
-I HATE flowery, unscented or mediciny smells.
