She probably had lots of girls ask her about her hair regimen, and that's why she decided to do the video. Granted she could change a few things, but lets say you didn't know about LHCF and you had length and thickness like hers, you'd probably thing you had a good regimen.

She does have a lot to learn, but some of the comments were more nasty than constructive. If someone posted a nasty comment on my video, then told me to check out LHCF, I wouldn't b/c I would think it was full of nasty judgemental women.

ITA, she has nice hair to me. The best lesson learned here is=different strokes for different folks.

I thought her hair looked great. She obviously uses alot of grease, and by the looks of her hair, the grease is by no means damaging it. With all the negative comments you would think her hair is jacked up, but her hair looks far better than alot of women here who are hating on her. Yes, she can use better techniques, but cant we all?

Wow, poor girl... I feel bad she got so many mean comments on youtube but I feel worse that people on this site started "arguing" amongst themselves. Come on, we are here to help and support each other. The girl seems happy with her hair and obviously people around her like it as well, or else she would have not bothered to put up the video. Those of us on this site would rather watch Macherie's tutorials because we know her hair care practices are closer to our own (and her hair is to die for) but I think this young woman was just trying to help out. Can't knock her for trying to lend a hand.

I will say that she did say a couple of things that I did not agree with, but to each his own...

I rarely hear anyone here talking about "grease" because we know it just clogs your scalp and all that blow drying she's talking about, not a good look. Her hair has a little length too it, but I'm sure it could be thicker, healthier, and longer if someone schooled her on how to better take care of it.

The video is fine overall, even though I may not agree with everything. Second of all, grease works for my hair. I used it when my hair was natural growing up and my hair was almost to my behind. People need to know what works for their own hair - as people's hair differs. If it works for this girl, then let her be.

I think it has more to do with the fact that discussing it is taboo on this site. If you do a search, you'll find that many LHCF members use grease successfully, as some posters have admitted to doing in this very thread. There was even a Vaseline challenge on LHCF some years ago, which many members joined.
Chicoro for instance attributes her length retention to using Vaseline to seal in moisture. She even has a tutorial on how she applies it every week in her Fotki (not sure if she still uses it). Other veterans use products with mineral oil like Keracare, Sulfur 8 etc, or petrolatum - ingredients that cause many to stave off grease... yet when used properly, they can be effective sealants. She may be a member here but has just taken what works for her, instead of jumping on bandwagons and going along with the status quo.
